UPDATE CRASH US 113 AND DAISEY ROAD FRANKFORD, DELAWARE

Location: US 113 and Daisey road Frankford, Delaware

DATE and TIME: Tuesday September 1, 2009, 11:11 A.M.

2009 white Toyota Benza
2004 white Mercury Marquis

Operator(s):
Michael Doan-41 Springfield, Virginia operator of Toyota
Betty Joann Hile-70 Middletown, Pennsylvania operator Mercury

Injuries:
Doan was transported to Nanticoke Hospital
Doan had 5 other passengers in his vehicle 1 being transported via State Police Helicopter to Christiana and the other 4 between Beebe Hospital and Nanticoke locations. None of the injuries appears life threatening however the extent of their injuries is currently unknown do to the differing locations for treatment.
Hile and a passenger were transported to Beebe Hospital however once again their specific injuries are currently unknown.

Charge(s):
Failure to Remain Stopped at a Stop Sign and released.

The crash investigation revealed the 2009 Toyota Benza was traveling N/B on US 113. The 2004 Mercury Marquis was W/B on Daisey road. Betty Hile failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Daisey road and US 113. The Mercury’s front end struck the passenger side of the Toyota.

The roadway was closed for approximately 1 hour while the crash scene was investigated.

State Police have charged Betty J Hile with failing to remain stopped at a stop sign.

DSP News Release: Preliminary Personal Injury Crash Release and Road Closure

Location: US 113 in the area of Blueberry Lane near Selbyville

DATE and TIME: Tuesday September 1, 2009, 11:11 A.M.

Suspect(s):

Delaware State Police, Frankford Police, Selbyville Police and EMS crews are currently on scene investigating a multiple car crash at the above location. Initial reports are that the roadway around this sight is closed and delays are expected. Citizens are asked to avoid this area until the crash scene is cleared.

This is a Delaware State Police crash Investigation with the other departments assisting.

This is the same intersection where only 3 weeks later 3 family members were killed when they failed to see the extremely out of place stop sign. DELDOT-DO SOMETHING!
