Democrats focus on claims about health care protests
Washington - A photograph of Maryland Rep. Frank Kratovil Jr. being hanged in effigy is prominently featured in a new national Democratic Party Web video that claims that public outbursts over President Barack Obama's health care overhaul plan are being manufactured by opponents.
The anti-Kratovil episode, during a small protest outside his Salisbury district office last week, gained notice at the time on the Internet and in the local news media. But the Democratic Party ad, and related comments by White House press secretary Robert Gibbs, figure to generate wider, and unwanted, attention on the freshman lawmaker, already one of the most vulnerable House Democrats in the country.
Kratovil spokesman Kevin Lawlor, who spoke with the protesters on July 27 in the shadow of the effigy of his boss, said the congressman had not yet seen the Web video, produced by the Democratic National Committee.
The aide said that the Eastern Shore representative values the opportunity to talk with his constituents and "he can put up with people who do what many would say crosses the line."
Like other House Democrats in Maryland and elsewhere, Kratovil has encountered shouting critics of the Obama plan at public meetings over the past week. Kratovil is opposed to the health care proposal as currently drafted but hasn't ruled out supporting a revised version.

This picture has been all over the liberal cable news network, i.e., MSNBC, and once this happens everybody else then feels free to use it. Good luck Joe in seeking a just and legal remedy.
The image was never "sold" to anyone. Permission was given to those who asked in writing to use it.
The brew-ha-ha over the effigy hanging is helping to keep Kratovil in office after the next election!

That ad does not "feature Kratovil".
What it does feature is someone in front of the Congressman's office in a photo that you first made public.
anonymous 9:49, you're missing it. The "ad" that they produced and distributed via e-mail does have Frank Kratovil in it as well as a donation button to raise funds. Read more carefully next time.

Does it matter? both parties are the problem, not the answer.
Yes it does matter, there is an all out assault by liberal Democrats that support this plan to make legitimate citizens concerned about a complete Government takeover of Healthcare look like agitators. Theyare paid to make anyone opposing this plan look like crazy terrorists. So YES it does matter who is behind the act and what his intentions were.

So by all means let's stick with the system we have. Just say NO, and don't allow anyone else to say anything.
You are absolutely wrong about Medical debt. Bet you don't know the THIRD largest employer in the world do you? Why it is the NHS of the UK!!
