ROMBLAD FILES FOR FIRST CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT OF MARYLAND

SALISBURY, MD AUGUST, 3RD 2009: Grady Romblad has filed the necessary paper work with the Federal Election Commission to run for the United States House of Representatives First Congressional District in the State of Maryland. The First District encompasses parts of Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Hartford, Caroline, Cecil, Dorchester, Kent, Somerset, Talbot, Queen Anne’s Wicomico, and Worchester Counties.

Born in Prince Georges County Maryland, Grady Romblad relocated to Parsonsburg in Wicomico County Maryland with his family at age 7. After graduating from Parkside High School, Grady enlisted in the Army and served at Fort Bragg, North Carolina providing voice and data communications to the 18th Airborne Corps and its subordinate units. He participated in Operation Uphold Democracy in Haiti. Following his honorable discharge from the Army in 1996 Grady worked for MCI and then Nextel providing nationwide network support for both companies. In 2004, with his oldest child ready to enter kindergarten, Grady and his wife decided they wanted the children to grow up on the Eastern Shore. He and his wife relocated to back to Wicomico County. Grady started his own business and learned firsthand how difficult government regulation and taxation is for small business owners. In 2008 Grady accepted a contract position with Verizon working on a communications project for the United States Senate. He is now a stay at home dad taking care of his two children.

Grady Romblad is committed to listening to the Eastern Shore community and taking their concerns to Washington.” This is about listening to the people and representing the people of the First Congressional District and not politics as usual.” said Romblad.

Hey, isn't this guy having some kind of an event in the park?

Like a "get to know your candidate" kind of thing?
