State troopers have charged a daycare worker with endangering the welfare of a child after a 3 year-old wandered out of the facility.
Troopers charged Devonshire this afternoon after she turned herself into state police at Troop 2. State police conferred with the Attorney General’s Office and a decision was made to charge Devonshire.
Devonshire was on duty at the daycare center yesterday when a 3 year-old boy left the center undetected and wandered dangerously close to a major freeway. Several passing motorists
She was charged with one count of endangering the welfare of a child and was released after arraignment on unsecured bail. Devonshire will have an appearance in Family Court next month.
