GUNS YOU OWN TO BE ITEMIZED ON YOUR 2009 TAX RETURN

There he goes again, another "Right" trying to be appropriated by obama.....

Time to contact your Congressmen and let them know where you stand on this.

Tony Passaro
From an NRA Endowment Member:

Guns you own to be itemized on your 2009 tax return Please read below and take action with your representatives.Senate Bill SB-2099 will require us to put on our 2009 1040 federal tax form all guns that you have or own. It may require fingerprints and a tax of $50 per gun

This bill was introduced on Feb.. 24. This bill will become public knowledge 30 days after it is voted into law. This is an amendment to the Internal Revenue Act of 1986. This means that the Finance Committee can pass this without the Senate voting on it at all.

The full text of the proposed amendment is on the U.S.

Senate homepage,http://www.senate.gov/ You can find the bill by doing a search by the bill number, SB-2099. You know who to call; I strongly suggest you do. Please send a copy of this e-mail to every gun owner you know http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h45/text

Congress is now starting on the firearms confiscation bill. If it passes, gun owners will become criminals if you don't fully comply.

It has started. Very Important for you to be aware of a new bill HR 45 introduced into the House. This is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009. Even gun shop owners didn't know about this because the government is trying to fly it under the radar. To find out about this - go to any government website and type in HR 45 or Google HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009. You will get all the information. Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless: It is registered -You are fingerprinted -You supply a current Driver's License -
You supply your Social Security # -

You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing -

Each update - change or ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25 Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail. -

There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18. -They would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to 5 yrs. in prison. If you think this is a joke - go to the website and take your pick of many options to read this. More and more people are becoming aware of this. Pass the word along. Any hunters in your family pass this along. This is just a "termite" approach to complete confiscation of guns and disarming of our society to the point we have no defense - chip away a little here and there until the goal is accomplished before anyone realizes it. This is one to act on whether you own a gun or not.

HR 45 is real, but the 2099 Senate is an urban legend left over from a 2000 bill that never made it out of committee. A google search will send you to Snopes.com, who explains all.

Why do you repeatedly imply the gov. is hiding these provisions, but you follow the statement with you can find it on the US senate page, or find it on this gov. page. Sorry if Pres. Obama didn't go on fox news to announce the legislation. And do you have evidence that he is pushing for the creation of these bills?

I don't necessarily think this is a bad thing at all. I own 2 guns and would happily provide this information.

I don't see this as a step towards "complete confiscation of guns and disarming of our society"--this is just trying to make everyone accountable.

anonymous 8:15, clearly you were too young or conveniently forget the Germans doing this long ago so they knew who had what when they decided to collect all the weapons.

Folks, now can you understand why our government doesn't want to teach History any more!!!!!

May be a bit off topic:

I have a gun collection that was willed to me. Some of the guns are quite old (100+ yrs), some are illegal in MD (I've been told), and 1 is a police issue a retired police officer gave to my grandfather many, many years ago. None, to my knowledge, have every been registered. If I tried to register them now, would they be taken away, either under any old or new laws? (The are kept in a gun safe away from anyone).

Thanks for any answers.

ok, just follow the links that are provided. Only a couple even get to actual bills, and there is no such thing as sb 2099. The Blair Holt bill is considered DOA at committee, and in fact has been repeatedly killed in past congressional sessions. I am a gun owner and hunter. Just get teh facts folks and make up your own minds on what the various pieces of legislation actually do or don't do.

I have many guns and I will not report those guns because it is no ones business but mine! I guess I will be a criminal, so be it. Every gun I own was my fathers, left to me when he passed away more than 10 years ago. No one is going to take them from me!

I am so sick of this government trying to force us into laying down like old dogs while they take every possession we have. I am even sicker of the people that are laying down without a fight and without the common sense to see there is a major problem with this and many other bills.

Kill me if need be but I will not report nor turn over any of my weapons. It's a damn shame when the honest, hard working people are threatened yet the crack heads, rapists, and murderers are walking free.

I will never register my guns, either. I have several that were bought privately or handed down, and I will hand them down to my children accordingly; with instructions that they never get registered. The two that are registered will go to someone unknown when I die; thus rendering them unregistered as well. I know history well.

Joe,
Your comment 8:18 is excellent. I agree completely. This stuff is critical but Americans in general are too asleep because of football and beer to realize what is happening to them. The globalist agenda (Zionism) is about incrementally changing our society so that nobody notices.

Thank you. Well said!!

Show me the one that is brave enough to come take them, hes going to have a very bad day.

The above comment is what they use to fuel their membership to do more. Find a constructive way to get involved and help the fight. If you think it would be so hard to pry your guns out of your cold fingers then obviously you haven't seen what the military is capable of doing. To help you need to get involved at every level you can. Either teaching gun safety, writing congressmen and congress women, helping get those that opose gun control elected, fighting the lobyists, basically anything you can do. It is time to stand up and make your voices heard now and in the next elections! Good luck and God Bless you all in the fight to come with these radicalists!

Anonymous No one has the right to take our firearms. Let them try if they really want to have another revolt. That will be the straw that break the camels back. Taking our ability to defind our family an our property. If they think that is going to happen there wrong. They want to make everybody a criminal. then only the honest will be wrong

The only thing that makes it wrong for me to own a gun is that some elite politician has an idea that he can make people think I am wrong.
The time is now to realize that just because the inside the Beltway crowd drafts a new law, that doesn't make it right. These folks are driven by greed and a quest for power.
The Second Amendment gives all of us the right to own and bare arms period!!!!!!
