LIMITS ANCHOR BABIES FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS
The Birthright Citizenship Act of 2009 (H.R. 1868) would amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to make it more difficult for children born in the U.S. to gain citizenship.
Under the Birthright Citizenship bill, introduced by Rep. Nathan Deal (R-GA), a person born in the United States, in order to gain citizenship, must have at least one parent who is:
* a U.S. citizen or national
* a lawful permanent resident alien whose residence is in the United States; or
* an alien performing active service in the U.S. Armed Forces.

The founding fathers also never had in mind to press 1 for english either. They never had in mind having menus printed in spanish, government documents printed in spanish and on and on. When our country was founded and immigrants came we never had government documents printed in foreign languages. I think the bill as shown is fair and should be passed, however it probably will not be until after the 2010 election after which congress will look a lot different than it does today.
This goes to show you this man is an idiot. He is trying to win support by republicans. Does he realize most of the large businesses that hire illegals are republican owned.

I agree, the dems did win and now most of the intelligent folks in this country are extremly upset over what Obama and his pack of thiefs are doing. There will be a landslide next election with the dems being removed from the congress in record numbers. You can bet money on it. In 2012 Obama will also be history. His legacy will be that he was the worse president every to serve in that office. I didn't think I would ever live to see a president as incompetent as Jimmy Carter, but I did.
Kratovil will co-sponsor if he gets Miss Nancy's Pelosi's approval. The man can't make a decision on his own without the parties approval. They bought and paid for him, what else do you expect him to do except bow to their wishes. Andy Harris will make a much better congressman after next election.
I have had the pleasure of working with Doctor Harris while at PRMC,he is the real deal. He will have my vote next time, he is genuine,hard-working and cares deeply for just plain folks. TURN THE HOUSE 2010. This is no longer a one issue fight, its really not just about Health Care, it is about the role of the Federal Government, How much power and intrusion the American people are willing to give politicians. Do you value your personal liberties, do you value your personal property rights? Or do you let government have supreme power and authority. That is what is at stake now.
