My grandmother had a plant just like it - a retired police officier used to cut her grass, it even tricked HIM.
It could be a plant called "false aralia".It looks almost exactly like marijuana to most people......

My mom and dad were leaving to go to the 80th birthday of my dad's aunt. To my horror, I saw my mom carry a plant that looked just like this to their car and drive off before I could get outside.
Later, when I asked my mom about it she said that no one made any comments about the plant looking like marijuana. I guess my family is not "hip". LOL
