KUHN'S JEWELERS ON THE DOWNTOWN PLAZA

My Wife bought me a nice watch for my Birthday a few months ago from Sam's Club and when I opened it up and tried it on it was entirely too large around my wrist. So I brought it back to Sam's and asked them if they could remove some of the links and they said, we don't do that here, you'll have to bring it to a Jewelery Store.

Well, that kind of sucked, since we didn't buy it at a jewelers, (if you get my drift). Nevertheless, I was Downtown quite a bit this week and I thought I'd bring it to Kuhn's on the Downtown Plaza. They were extremely receptive and offered to take the links out on the spot. They had it fixed in minutes and when I asked them how much I owed them they refused to charge me anything, my favorite price!

For that, KUHN'S JEWELERS will forever get my business from this point forward. If you haven't visited their store they have an unbelievable selection of jewelery, (as you can see in the photo) and have been in Salisbury forever! My Wife's Birthday is this Friday and I will be back!

Long live the local business owners, down with the corporate chains.

I bought my wife's engagement and wedding ring set there years ago. They were more expensive then the alternatives (Service Merchandise, etc) at the time but the QUALITY and the CUSTOMER SERVICE were worth the extra money spent. Long live Kuhn's.

Kuhn's is a class act, a bit on the pricey side but worth the service.

Amen to this! Great establishment! Wonderful people. The difference you pay for product over a nasty chain store will be returned 10 fold over the life of your purchase in true courtesy and service!

Kuhn's alone is why downtown needs to be kept up. I dream of the day when there will be more businesses and restaurants like it down there.

Kuhn's is perhaps the last quality locally-owned retailer in Salisbury that has survived the Walmartization of Wicomico County, including Sam's Club, that began about 20 years ago when the Robert Cannon, Sr. sold the land on west side of Route 13-North Salisbury Boulevard at North Pointe Drive for beaucoup bucks at that time.

The resulting demise of local enterprise was inevitable, but our local officials were blind and deaf to the obvious result of rolling out the welcome mat to Sam Walton, unlike places like Chestertown that have had the stones to say "thanks but no thanks" to the behemoth from Bentonville.

I've purchased two engagement rings from Kuhn's and both times the customer service was excellent and a quality selection. Hopefully there won't be a third time for me but if there is, it will be Kuhn's again.

If there were more businesses with the following and customer loyalty of Kuhn's on the Plaza, there would be no vacancies there. I saw a new real estate company just opened there (brave souls), and heard a couple of other businesses were opening soon. It would be awesome to have the Plaza be a strong and vibrant area again....maybe a great start to a SBY turnaround?????

Salim and Debbie at the Jewelers Bench are excellent also. I have dealt with both businesses and they each have a niche in the market place and are worth a visit.

1:01 don't hold your breath. As long as this community is shorthanded with police protection, nobody will venture downtown after 4 PM anyway. Perception or not, no one wants to go downtown anymore.

Kuhn's is my favorite place! I decided I wanted to reward MYSELF several years ago and I did not have a lot of money. I went to Kuhn's and bought the most beautiful diamond bracelet. A DIAMOND AT A TIME. It was well worth it. Don't know if they still carry those, but mine is wonderful now that it is filled. RAH for KUHN'S

I think a jeweler named Rob Forosisky is there sometimes, & I know he can be found at Littmans as well. I have bought many fine pieces of jewelery from him. He is open and honest and stakes his reputation on everything. I will continue to buy from him because he does his own repairs where other stores have to send them away to be fixed. This takes time away and the chances of your property getting lost or stolen.
Call Rob he is wonderful.

After just being entrusted with my 86 year old mother's ring, I went to Kuhn's for the first time. Since moving here 23 years ago, I have not had such exceptional service. They sized the ring for me, price was reasonable, but customer service is what matters and they have that down pat. If we had more Mom&Pop buisnesses like that in the plaza, the place would thrive.

I went to school with Susan, and despite the fact that she was from the "upper class," she was always a sweetheart, and that was unusual in high school. I'm sure you can't go wrong doing business with them.

There are still many more mom and pop businesses left here in Salisbury, when we were getting married, we went to Mr Curleys for our tuxedo rentals and they have a young fellow in there, I think his name is Tony and he could not do enough for us, even for our out of town groomsman, I would highly reccomend them for service beyond anywhere else, not to mention the price difference compared to anywhere else, especially the mall tuxedo place. Keep up the good work.

The guy Rob has done the repairs there for years as well as Littmans and other stores. My daughter works in Littmans and has nothing but great things to say about him and his work. Let's here it for customer service-it seems to be a dying thing these days. I try so hard to give it in my own line of work but sadly it still comes down to the lowest price.

There are several mom and pop businesses left in Salisbury. When we got married we hired cakes by david to do the wedding cake. It looked as good as it tasted. We now purchase our childrens birthday cakes and all cakes for our activities from them. They are the greatest.
