Mike Tyson's 4-Year Old Daughter Dies After Accident
PHOENIX — The 4-year-old daughter of former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson died Tuesday, a day after what police called a "tragic accident" in her home. Phoenix police spokesman Andy Hill said Exodus Tyson was pronounced dead in a hospital just before noon.
Police said the girl was playing on a treadmill Monday in her central Phoenix home when she either slipped or put her head in the loop of a cord hanging under the console.
Exodus' 7-year-old brother found her and told their mother, who was in another room. She took Exodus off the cord, called 911 and tried to revive her.
Responding officers and firefighters performed CPR on Exodus as they took her to the hospital, where she had been listed in critical condition since Monday.
Tyson was in Las Vegas at the time of the accident and flew Monday to Phoenix, where he was seen entering the hospital.
Cynthia Schwartz, a spokeswoman for Tyson, said the family would release a statement Tuesday evening. They had not made any funeral arrangements, she said.
Hill said it was unclear whether an autopsy would be performed.

I feel so sorry for the Tyson family in their time of mourning. May God be with you and comfort you and know your beautiful baby has gone to be with the Lord.
It is such a tragic thing to lose a loved one, but a beautiful little girl is more precious than anything.
God Bless you Mike and your whole family and know I will be praying for your comfort......

Very sad news.
Hopefully Joe can keep his negative tones away from this story!
Joe has always been respectful about the loss of a loved one.
Not so, many commenters, 10:29
This is terribly tragic. I am thankful that it has gotten the publicity that it has. Imagine how many homes have the exact same hidden danger. Hopefully this will raise awareness in parents who have treadmills (I know many) and help prevent this from ever happening again.
8:23 this was just a freak accident. There are so many dangers in the typical home that one would be hard pressed to discover and correct them all. When I grew up there were hazards all over the place, thank God nothing serious happened but this is one of those things where you would never think that it would happen or that it could happen. Kids have more of a chance dying any time they go outside. Very Very unfortunate, and so young!
