Now wait a minute, don't get all excited. He was caught again and brought back in to the Detention Center.
That's right, he was ACCIDENTALLY RELEASED and once they realized what they had done they went searching for him and brought him back to Jail.
Ray Lewis is serving additional jail time as he was caught smuggling a large amount of cash back into the Jail after he had only 18 days left to serve. I know his Family/Friends have been on here anonymously making comments saying this wasn't true but they lied. Ray received additional jail time and was immediately taken out of Work Release because of his actions.
Wicomico County Taxpayers can breathe a sigh of relief knowing he will in fact serve his entire sentence, unless some knucklehead releases him or someone else before their time is up too. I wonder if they'll put out a Press Release about their screw up at the Detention Center?????

Another example of the incompetence of warden Devenyns. He doesn't have the ability to manage the dog pound. I guess Pollitt is still satisfied with his job performance since he (Pollitt) hasn't seen fit to fire him (Devenyns) yet. Maybe the new lawsuit will be the straw that breaks the camels back.
Bill Duvall stated over a year ago that that place was a pot full of lawsuits just waiting to happen.
His release and all releases are supposed to be examined for ID,release date etc.by a supervisor. However when a Majors wife is a sgt, and incharge of booking/recieving no action will be taken.
So when will he get out now?
Why would he be taking cash into the jail?? Either for some dope debts or to pay off the booty bandit that wants to get to know him better.
Vending machines. Gamble on pool.
Now is a good time to drug test him.
IRS........YOU NEED TO INVESTIGATE THIS MAN
I would like to know why there is a porta Potti at the Delmar Little League Field that is owned by Ray Lewis (ASAP Services) This is a county park and even though it is paid for by the town of Delmar why is the county/town doing buisness with a crook?
This makes the second release of this type in the last few months. Remember Brinton Cox was released in error with outstanding charges. Both of these incidents were brought to higher ups attention prior to there release. Both times the individuals who pointed out the errors were told to mind there own business. The previous records supervisor was moved because of an inmate being held past their time. Mistakes will happen, but that is why checks and other people checking the records are in place. Who messed up this time and why will nothing be done about it again?
SIGH
I've said it before, but as long as Devenyns is director, there will always be problems. He needs to go and so does Pollitt because Pollitt doesn't have what it takes to fire Devenyns.
Rumor has it Townsend is out now..
