3 Years Ago Today

3 Years Ago Today Mr. Henry Hanna was having photos taken in front of the Boulevard Theater in order to market it For Sale. It quickly Sold to local Attorney David Moore and has been sitting empty ever since.
A Daily Times article claimed they haven't done anything with it since due to the hardship of the economy. I wonder what would happen if the Health Department got involved. There's enough mold and mildew to open up a pharmaceutical company there and make a hefty profit.

Doubt the health department can/will do anything, as there are no indoor air quality regulations that are enforced by the local health departments.

Joe:

It's Henry Hanna, as in Hanna (his dad), Kremer & Tilghman (Barrie's spouse).

How can the City fine anyone for anything and let this building remain a death trap. The owner should be accountable for this regardless of who they are.

If you are going to call the health dept, call on some of these roach infested restaurants that are currently serving the public. According to a local demolition contractor that place will be torn down by the middle of June. I also agree with anon 2:32. There's baby ruth's and pecan logs floating right past Brew River!

They just condemned that single family residence because of all the mold in it. Hire a legal hvacr company next time, you might be better off. I dont remember where the house was off the top of my head.

That building has been empty for a long time. The floor is crumbling. A little while ago I was walking in front of the Boulevard. Peeked in, The Place is coming down around Mr. Moore Ears. Just the other day, I saw someone in there working, they had portable work lights on in the lobby. I have to wonder what the Historical people would have anything to say about the building. Wonder what Mr. Moore is up to.

anon 10:00, maybe he just walking around in a piece of property he owns. Let's get to the bottom of this mystery as soon as possible!

If there was a fire in there do you think the fire departments would go in or just flow water from the outside. They should go do an inspection of it with city inspections.

Moore was approached by an out of town entertainment group willing to buy the property from him to make it into a live theater but he declined. Would have been nice for Salisbury instead of another empty building.
