Sanchez Fulfills Dream With Commitment To Navy

George Vickers Grandson, Martin Sanchez, a Jr. at Worcester Prep is heading to the Naval Academy! Salisbury News would like to not only Congratulate Martin, we'd like to thank him for serving our Country and making such a commitment. The majestic view from Maryland's Chesapeake Bay Bridge was more than enough to inform Martin Sanchez's college choice - even at the age of nine.

From the vantage point of the bridge is where Sanchez first saw something that captured his attention.

Martin Sanchez"I would always look over and ask my parents what it was I was seeing," Sanchez recalls. "My parents told me it was one of the most prestigious schools in the country. From then on I thought it would be awesome to one day attend." Sanchez's childhood dream will come true beginning in 2010 when he starts his education at the United States Naval Academy (Navy) in Annapolis, Maryland.

It will be a long 4 years but definitely worth the hard work not only that it took to get there but to become one of the few that will every have that privilige. I wish you success, fair winds and following seas as they say in the Navy and Oorah! if you decide to go Marine Corps, Mr. Sanchez!!
