Campbell Promotes Transparency – Posts Campaign Contribution Report

Salisbury – City council member Debbie Campbell, candidate for reelection for the District 2 council seat, will post her campaign finance report for the reporting period ending 2/25/09 on her website today in the “Press Room” and “Hot Topics” tabs.

“I continue to advocate for transparency in government and politics. While campaign reports are available to the public through filing a Freedom of Information Act Request with the government, I am happy to make the reports easily accessible to the public.” says Campbell. “I appreciate the contributions that have been made to the campaign and the support that I have received through volunteerism. It would be my honor to serve Salisbury for a second term.”

Campbell’s innovative web site includes many interactive features including a survey of voter priorities, video from pre-election forums and interviews, and forms that allow supporters to make contributions, volunteer, and request yard signs and magnetic car signs directly from the site. www.campbell4council.net

What a gorgeous woman and smart too.

She never has hidden anything from the constituents of the city. In fact she and Terry Cohen are the only council members that respond to emails no matter how touchy the subject.

It's incredibly refreshing to have such a responsive, thinking and dedicated public servant as our representative on City Council. Here's someone who not only keeps up with her campaign promises, but promotes the same behavior in others, not spouting the same empty "here are my accomplishments" lines that some do. Here's a person who doesn't rely on subterfuge and lies to get a point across, and who votes with the best intentions for all of her constituents in mind, unlike some others who could be mentioned.

My vote is for Campbell, hands down.

I can personally vouch for what 2:04 PM poster said. I've emailed her more times than any sane person should, and not only has she responded to every single one...she did so with a promptness that really surprised me.

We're incredibly fortunate to have her as a representative. I was afraid she might not seek reelection due to all the crap and negativity she puts up with from Council majority, but I should've known better. With her, it's not about Debbie - it's about the PEOPLE.

You GO GIRL! I'm with ya all the way!

That woman is what her signs say: Integrity and Standing Up for Salisbury.

Bota has aligned himself with the likes of Dunn, Comegys, Tighlman and a blogger that could and should have been arrested. With friends like that who needs enemies. Doesn't look like much change to vote for there, just another pawn to the queen. He wants to be what he says he's not.
