White Middle Class Construction Workers Need Not Apply
I'm just a little curious...does everyone realize that our current infrastructure was built by highly skilled iron workers and masons?
These bridges would not have lasted this long had they been built by un-skilled workers!
Additionally, if we are going to rebuild the infrastructure, are we going fire up Bethlehem Steele and all the factories in the 'Rust Belt' to supply American Steel, American Screws and Rivets, and American Concrete to all of these projects.
If we are going to spend the money on rebuilding Americas infrastructure, then it better be done with American made products!

You don't understand. The elites of America are globalists. They make money (steal tax funds) whether the work is done by Americans or Outsiders. Why buy supplies from Americans who demand a liveale wage? The Chinese can make that steel much more cheaply than the goyim Americans. Why let Americans make the concrete? That is simply "inefficient" use of money. No, they will do as they always have done, take our money and spend it to make their profits. American people are stupid.
I have read that indeed we will be using American steel exclusively for infrastructure rebuilding in the stimulus package(Which consequently includes less than 5% of real infrastructure spending). And I stole this quote from another blogger so i must not take credit but I fully agree, "This is not the time to take a protectionist stance with our trading partners. You can’t build an economy, based upon global growth and all if its trimmings, then all of a sudden, when the shit hits the fan, rescind or radically change how we conduct business with other nations."

As a white middle class man raising his three kids by himself I'm feeling a bit cheated here.
I for one am glad that the Federal Govt. will be spending my hard earned tax monies to hire unqualified and untrained people, instead of qualified, experienced people who invested in their career to master their trade. I mean it's no fair that these hard working experienced people should get preference over the untrained.

Wymzie I am so glad you posted this, I saw it a few days ago and could not believe it. Notice that all of the investigation of Rangel seems to have disappeared now that Obama won? There are ALREADY regulations that mandate a perecntage of minorities get construction contracts for state and fed jobs for gosh sakes.What do you expect from Reich, he is a prof at Cal Berkeley.

Most, I repeat Most minority firms are legaly owned by either the wife of the white owner or a minority that is being used as a figure head and the board of directiors ran by white men. The minority makes off with 10-20% of the profit while doing nothing. An extention of AA is the Disable American Veteran who now gets perks. But most of these firms use a DAV as a figure head. Its all a scam.
The real winner is the American tax payer who pays a fee to hire these people and no one cares. Most people in government are aware of the scam but it looks good on paper.

I am tired living on Lake street and doing yard work, cleaning out glutters and other dirty jobs. It is about time we black folks get money to be trained on the job and let them middle class step back and do some of the work we been doing. Our church leaders told us and promised a classy life if we get out and vote obama in office. This we did and now things will change. The middle class men can't stop the movement now. It their turn to live on lake street and we live in nice houses. Obama is our earth Jesus and will save all black people followers. He is in office now and got black round him to make things our way. The white polticans will help him for big money too.Thank you jesus for letting us take our turn.Obama is a leader and can talk all to follow him anywhere.He got charm.
