Charges Against Firefighter Dismissed
SALISBURY — The state dismissed charges of impersonating a police officer filed against a 28-year-old Salisbury firefighter in Wicomico County District Court on Tuesday.
Its typical DT CRAP half the story no wonder thier subscribers are bailing out.they are not loyal to the community or thier employees.I know alot of good people who were fired from that orginazation for little or no reason.I wouldnt buy that rag if I couldnt find toilet paper.
The main question here is how the hell does anyone get off, impersonating an office of any state, county, or city... This is why i Just love this county and government we have...
he should be thrown in jail.this guy applied to the maryland state police before he was hired by the sfd ,but was turned down i wonder why? he wore maryland state police tee shirts and drove around in a car that he made look exactly like an unmarked msp car from the lights in the windows the antennas and even the center console.
The city should pay him the back pay due him. He should also be due his meager 2% step raise that the poor firemen have just recieved. Welcome Back Cox.
I wounder if it was just a peeing match and the "real" deputy won.
Then our wonderful States Attorney ,Davis, decided to save the money....Again. I wonder if this guy was trying to get out of a ticket by playing on the stupidity of the officer?
And I wander just how many other times he tryed to pull this act on innicent people. He certainly has that d---h--- look down to a "T".
Must be open season for breaking the law. As long as D.R. is prosicuting.
I am a city resident and I don't want that person working for me. He scares me and if he responds to any emergency concerning me or my family there may be some litigation to deal with.
What we have here is the state dropping the charges and now costing the tax payers thousands of dollars in back pay.
This person will also be a major liability the the city of Salisbury. This guy is dangerous and they would be better off biting the bullet and severing all ties with him.
If you want to do a crime, do it in Salisbury or the state of Maryland. What the hell were thinking? Just a slap on a wrist is all he'll get, like Ray Lewis got. Ridiculous. Next they'll let those teen murders loose. Our Judicial System sucks. Lock 'em away for good.
The state probably had witness trouble and he had a right to a speedy trial so the state dismissed the charges. If they went ahead to trial and lost they could never charge him again,(double jeopardy) this way they can re-charge him in circuit court and proceed once their witness troubles are figured out. Sometimes after the fact alot of witnesses probably just want to be left alone and forget about it, to late then for that. Thats the nature of the beast.
5:09 - I wonder just how far in school you advanced? My guess is maybe the 10th grade. You probably don't even have a job - just a typical, ignorant attitude. The JUDGES - I repeat - the JUDGES decide the punishment, not the prosecutors. Take your smart aleck attitude down to the various judges that heard these cases and complain to them. Until these wimp-a**ed judges start getting tough, its always going to be like this.
604 I have been in school long enough to know that we do not need a piece of trash like this on our streets. Thanks for realizing that I've got more education than you.
If this guy wants to play cop, sentence him to patrolling pricilla street for 3 monthes with nothing but a "DD" flaslight and a whistle.
He'll learn soon enough not to impersonate a officer again. As well as how to take a a$$ whooping. I bet those boys over there will beat the ugly right off this frauds face.
anon 735 I agree, maybe he could do a better job than our own slapstick city police department. Shoot, I bet he could have the mayor ticked cause he would do a better job than Webster.

"See continuing coverage in The Daily Times on Wednesday."
What's wrong with giving the whole story now???
Is there a press conference scheduled for tomorrow?
In the immortal words of Anonymous, "Am I missing something here?"

Lets see if the fires start up again.
So now I guess that the city will have to re-instate him to his position and pay him any pay that he is due.
This is a classic case of bull----!

Obama gave him a full Pardon!
