LYNN CATHCART, NOW A “CIVILITY” MAVEN?

I almost threw my shoe at the TV last night when I heard her carping about others, especially candidates in this year’s Salisbury City election, for making nasty comments on the blogs and such. She did not name anyone, however.

Recall that during the election in 2005 she and the two other members of the “Dream Team” (Comegys and Dunn) excoriated Debbie Campbell. When did she change her stripes, and why didn’t the lovely Lynn criticize Barrie Tilghman when the latter vilified Tim Spies just before the 2007 city election, probably causing him to lose to Comegys?

And then there’s her antics as a member of council – truly too numerous to mention.

The last time I heard a spiel like hers, the speaker also was trying to sell snake oil, and I’m still not buying any of it.

Hypocrite. She and Dunn led the pack, Comegys and Shields went along with it.

Lynn is a very old and bitter person . I've seen this happen to
many older ladies . She hates life
and tries to blame everyone for her failures. She not very good looking , but this makes her ugly.
It wouldn't be so bad , but she
doesn't show signs of improvement.

i wanted to throw my shoe at her live on pac-14, i would have a hope of my shoe glancing off cathcart and right at the mare. at least john pick would have had enough common sense to duck.

It was clear Cathcart did not write that speech--she couldn't even pronounce the words. One that threw her completely was "hyperbole"--she butchered it, and am sure she has not a clue as to its meaning.

Lynn was always a wannabe--but she never could make it. She should stay at home with her grandbabies as that's what she told us was her goal. She probably does that job pretty well so she should stay home and do it.

How close are we to having that old mall developed Lynn? At least that big hole provides a place for stormwater to go and not run into the river.

Thanks for the support everyone but look, Lynn Cathcart couldn't handle the TRUTH if she tried.

She has always made and still does, excuses for everything gone wrong, WWTP, Salisbur Zoo, the Old Mall, you name it. Excuses, lies, cover ups, you name it. I think she was talking about those Anti Albero Bloggers that lie about anything and everything just to get attention.

Here's the funniest part Lynn. Yes, I know you're reading this comment because you live for attention. I'm going to tell you right here and now that Salisburty News has more than DOUBLE the visitors than the Daily Times.

WE DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK ANY MORE!

Did the Daily Times publish sbynews.com in their article? NO! Why Not? Because what they stated was a LIE and they know it was a lie. They wouldn't want to put names out there and be accountable or liable towards a lawsuit now would they? NOPE!

The funniest part about how we knew we were much bigger than the Daily Times. The last time they wrote an article about us our numbers for the day were actually DOWN, not up. You would think if someone put a link to our Site our numbers would have gone up, right? Nope, they were actually down. The Daily Times knows we've done it. We've done what they thought was impossible and they wouldn't dare publish our name because they know each time they do we receive NO GROWTH!

So do I actually worry about what Lynn Cathcart has said, not one bit. It is KILLING the Mayor to know we have grown as big as we have. They cannot hurt us any longer. LONG LIVE THE BLOGS!

I heard what Lynn had to say last night and almost choked. Considering she and her council buddies supply a local blogger with information and I'm confident she comments on that blog as well. Lynn, Tennessee is calling.

Hey, Lynn, we all have longer memories than you. We remember your verbally slamming Mr. Chaney right in the Council room. How much dang 'civility' was that?

Lynn has selective memory and thinks herself some sort of stellar possessor of knowledge. How sad. She should stay away from the podium by all means.

After she finished here BS last night, Cathcart promptly went over to the said blogger for some chit-chat in the Council chambers. He's going to get his comeuppance real soon now -- you (and he) can count on that. And you, too, Lynn.

Stay home and help Don do the dishes from now on! Then, when Barrie storms out of the meeting, go get snockered with her.
