Sunday's Daily Times

As many of you are aware, I am a part of the forum each week that is asked a question and the answers are printed in the Sunday Daily Times. This past Sunday the question was, What was your fondest Christmas memory. My reply was, (in which the Daily Times produced)

"This year Mayor Barrie Tilghman delivered my fondest Christmas memory. How can anyone deny the pleasure of believing there's finally hope for the City of Salisbury. Should Voters come through by electing someone more fiscally responsible and actually run a more open form of government, there is no better gift for so many thousands of people. While the Mayor had claimed her decision wouldn't be brought forth until after the Holidays, she truly gifted the citizens with hope. It's a Very Merry Christmas and Mayor Tilghman gave the guy who has everything the best Christmas gift ever.

Joe Albero"

Did anyone read the comment by Palmer Gillis in the letters to the editor section. Now thats what I call a contractor thanking her for her service. Makes one wonder how much his firm made over her tenure.

Joe:

Did you hear Barrie on the radio this morning explaining the decision not to run -- her self adulation made me puke!

Her stated reason can be condensed into: I'm not sure I can be a great mayor for 4 more years.

The real reason is that because of her record and the mess she has made of the City, she knows that she could not possibly win in next years election, even if the only other candidate for mayor were Bubba Comegys. And the next 4 years are going to be tough for the City and its residents -- her "legacy" for us will be even higher property taxes and sewer and water rates.

And can you imagine that Bubba would be any different if he is elected? He would probably be much worse.

Palmer is no dummy. He knows how to play the game otherwise he wouldn't be the contractor holding the note on the fire palace. You don't think for one minute they would give that job to anyone but an FOB, do you?

Interesting that Gillis now lives elsewhere. And who does he think dropped the ball on his City-County merger plans. Here's a hint: "BPT".

It looks like the Daily Times is in the process of annointing Barrie as the patron Saint of Salisbury in order to grease the skids for Bubba Comegys to become "R Nex Mare".

Thanks to this blog, we won't be deceived by Greg Bassett's BS.

You know how it goes. Everyone has an opinion. That's what this Blog is for, right or wrong. It creates healthy debate, like it or not.

Remember the game caled telephone? You start with a subject and by the time you get through 4, 5, or even 6 people the entire story changes. We all see and hear things differently. One more example. Remember years ago when you'd walk into a friends house or even your parents and they'd have the tv on and it seemed realy green or realy red? That's because everyone sees colors differently too. To the other people it looks perfectly fine.

Let people voice their opinions and try to realize that to them whatever they are speaking about and their opinion is important to them. At least they're bold enough to put their face, name and comment on the line without being anonymous, like YOU.

Barrie is not running for Mayor again so why don't you all shut your mouths? I don't see any of you running huh? Maybe Joe Albero could run, oh that's right he doesn't live in the City of Salisbury. It's so wonderful to have him running Salisbury down every chance he gets. Truth is, this same shit happens in Delmar, but you won't hear about it here.Delmar was founded on drug dealers and crime.
