And you shouldn't be able to run for political office after age 70. I am so sick of the politicians like Byrd who stayed and stayed and stayed when they should have stepped aside.
Give someone else an opportunity! Their egos and greediness just won't allow them to quit.
Congress members do pay into Social Security.
Yep, and if true what I heard this morning about the big 3 auto exec who flew in private jets to go before congress to beg for their bail out???????????That is worse or at least as bad as AIG having their retreat at some lavish destination for their executive meeting after they were approve money. What hubris! The have's are so disconnected from the have not's they don't even realize the message they send. Well maybe they do. They just don't give a damn until it is their lifestyle that is threatened.
I am contacting congress and voicing my anger on this latest insult.
Norma's got a few good points, but Congressmen don't get a full pension or their full pay after serving one term...that's a myth.
