SAM'S CLUB SOLD OUT OF GAS!
This is what everyone saw Saturday afternoon at Sam's Club. Their prices are so low, everyone took advantage of the price, so much so they ran out of gas.
I have one friend who was really disappointed because she lives in Ocean City and planned her trip to Salisbury on an empty gas tank once she got here and Sam's had no gas. She was smart though, she threw in just enough gas for a couple of days when she'll return here anyway and fill up then.
Oh well, sorry about that Folks but it is what it is. I'll talk to Management next week and see if they can't up their volume so this doesn't happen again. Who knows, they may have simply been overwhelmed this weekend and that's the whole problem. Time will tell.
Hey Gordy, I'll bet YOU don't have that problem! ROTFLMAO!

They were probably out because they did not raise their prices 10-19 cents like everyone else did this morning. That is a pretty simple idea to keep busy--leave prices low!
Everyone is probably tanking up now, in fear that prices will yet again jump.....
When costs are rising quickly, most gas stations raise their retail so they can keep up with the raising costs. Isn't it great when a retailer is so concerned about serving the public interests, that the store actually runs out of gasoline? Now when they replenish, their costs will be much higher, so they sold their gasoline below cost the last day or so. It is great for customers, but I wouldn't want to own Walmart stock!
Seems this is not only a problem at Sams but other Gas stations because of the hurricane. Do a google search and you will see that many are running out of gas all over the place
Yep, I got caught at Sam's pumps yesterday and had to buy three gallons of premium instead. When will the prices return to normal again, if ever (and at what price is normal?).

Just got back from Sams club today *Sunday* they do have gas but the pumps were running reallllllllllllly slow today. I got tired of waiting and only put in 30 bucks and that took me about 10-15 minutes. The price is 3.43 a gallon.
I gassed at Sam's this morning at 9:45 A.M. Pumps were fine then. As well, they still had not raised the price. Reg was 3.359, and premium was 3.599, way below everyone else!
You guys are lucky to even be able to find gas! I live in Salisbury,NC and we are in round two of gas shortages (depletion) since the hurricane. I went from one side of our county to the other looking for gas only to find empty tanks at each station. Charlotte NC is a pretty large city in NC and stations are reporting that their supplies are out with a few rare stations still operating but the lines of cars are horrendous...many spill out onto main roadways causing major back ups! I finally found gas by driving 15 minutes out of the way into the sticks. Thankfully it was only $3.95 a gallon but a few weeks ago when gas was reported by the news to be delayed in being transported here, people went crazy and gas prices jumped to almost $5 and over $5 around the NC coast with a few shortages. I would rather worry about the price jumps then worry about doing without. I am seriously considering buying a moped!People here are actually beginning to fight, rob and steal over gas and a new crime wave is beginning...siphoning gas while parked beside someone at a store etc. Isn't it just wonderful that we get to add another source for crime beng that it is so close to the holiday crime season?
