Question of the Day, Mon 8/11

This week (Aug 9 - 17) is Elvis Week. Saturday, 8/16 is Elvis Presley Rememberance Day.

Are you an Elvis fan? Do you know someone who is an Elvis fan? Is he really dead or do you believe the hype of him still being alive? Do you think he was a true rock-n-roller? Overall, what's your opinion of Elvis Presley?

This not a lie or fabrication at all. When Elvis was playing the Baltimore Civic Center the first person in line for days was my friend Dawn's mother. She and Dawn (approximately Junior High school age) rotated staying in the car and in line to preserve the precious spot. The second woman in line had someone call social services and report child abuse. This didn't happen but an hour before tickets went on sale they brought Dawn to her mother (who was across the street in line) and said they were taking the child. Her mother, who is a wonderful woman merely turned and said I will pick her up in an hour and a half. Dawn and her mother stood (couldn't sit down) side by side at his last Baltimore show and when the 2nd in line lady tried to rip the "sacred scarf" off her neck Dawn bit her so hard she had to get a bandage. As much as I have seen this mother and daughter team fight and disagree talking about that show is when they both smiled bigger than anyone can imagine.
He's alive but only in tribute acts and some great comedy sketches
