Congratulations Sen. Obama

John McCain is not only a hero, leader, and true public servant - he's also a gentleman:

I'm sure that his opponent will be as gracious... now that someone else came up with the idea (it didn't involve spending taxpayers' money).

His opponent was already gracious in his statements last night, as were many others throughout the convention, giving credit where it was due to McCain even as they questioned his policy positions.

haha! "he's also a gentleman"

Obama also praised McCain for under 1 minute last night. So your point is?

It's quite obvious being a "gentleman" during the campaigns isn't going to happen.

FACTS ABOUT MCCAIN -

He followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, and went to the United States Naval Academy, where he graduated 5th from the bottom of his Annapolis class.
His high school grades and SAT scores are a secret.

In fact... he had to go to the naval academy prep school but even failed to achieve the minimum GPA (2.0) to earn an appointment. In order for him to get into the academy they lowered the minimum to a 1.7 GPA.

Good thing he was the Admiral's son, huh??!!

I liked this line from last night, about McCain.

"calls himself a maverick, but he votes with George Bush 90 percent of the time. That's not a maverick, that's a sidekick."

McCain put out this ad, but at exactly 9:58 last night, just before Obama was introduced, he ran an attack ad with the misinformation that Obama will raise taxes. He will raise taxes, but onlyfot the top %5. McCain is in the same old Karl rove dirty tactics mode. We don't want 4 more years of that.

Anon 7:57......

The "top 5%" already pay 60% of the federal taxes in this nation. If you put some of the able bodied leaches to work who currently live off the public dole, it would not only increase revenue generated by payroll taxes, it would also sunstantially reduce govt. spending on entitlements. It's a win-win.

Tax and spend - tax and spend. Now calm down and have some more of Obama's special kool-aid.

Another FACT about McCain all of the "family values" group tends to forget, and the press is impotent about:

He started dating his current wife while he was still married to hs first wife, and married his current wife only one month after he divorced the first one. Also, Cindy McCain was not the only younger, prettier, fabulously wealthy woman John was running with after he returned from Vietnam.

If everyone still butchers Bill Clinton over his infidelities, then I hope the Right Wing Noise Machine will be just as vocal and unforgiving about your new hero.

Grand Dad,

Go ahead and vote for the "spend and spend" Republican Party, the guys who recklessly have driven this country into record debt, leaving our grandchildren to pay it off. That wasn't the Democrats, that was the Republicans. Real smart.
