The Bridge Is Up Again

Now look, it can't just be coincidental that I happen to be around every time the Bridge is raised. That being said, what happened to the Gary Comegys, David See & Bill Gordy probability ratio of the Bridge not being up 99.5% of the time? Oh, No, you weren't lied to, were you?

Joe,

Why do you have such a hardon about the razing of that draw bridge?

The traffic along Salisbury Parkway is not equivalent to the traffic on the old Woodrow Wilson Bridge that did have restriction as to when it could be opened.

And I'm not buying the excuse about the new fire house located on Cypress Street. There are two fire house on the east side of the bridge.

Contrary to you belief there still is commerce taking place in Salisbury. some of that commerce arrives in the city aboard barge.

Sand Box John.

PS There are signs at Baptist and Isabelle Streets that illuminate to give advance warning when the draw bridge is open.
