I've decided not to go topic by topic as I did the last time.It takes away from allowing me to pass off any opinion as we go along. I will say there is a very small crowd here tonight, I had hoped to see more citizens show up. As a matter of fact, there's actually only two unusual taxpayers here and several college students. There must be a proclamation or something along that line. I'll be back......
The Mayor wants to renegotiate the Fire Service Agreement with the County. She claims they do a lot of work in the County and feels they should be compensated for such.
Lore' Chambers is looking to get a massive pay increase. Everyone else in the City will not get a raise but Lore' will.
Jim Ireton is getting ready to speak under Public Comment. FY03 3 Officer's were requested, no new Officers. 04, 05, 06, 07 & 08, no new Officer's were provided. The Mayor also took the alleged 10 Officers requested were removed from the budget.
Bob Taylor is now speaking. Bob is upset over the article last weekend in the DT's. Chief Webster asked for 6 new Officers and See asked for 4 new Firefighters. Again, the Mayor turned those positions down. He's talking about a supplemental budget, after April 15th. "The Mayor is putting the monkey on your back."

If you're wondering at all who Louise Smith was threatening to throw out of the meeting, it was Bob Caldwel. It's almost impossible to sit through these meeting watching the expected votes to come through with certain Council Members. I'm dying to see her actually throw someone out. Bob continued to laugh, so you know and I don't blame him.
If you're watching PAC 14 Mayor, wait till I get up there under public comment. I just wish you were still here so I can address you directly but as usual you have walked out. However, I dedicate my comment to you Barrie Tilghman.
Gary Comegys has been text messaging on his cell phone the entire evening. It is completely out of line that no sooner does the Mayor leave, al of a sudden Gary is non stop on text messages.
I should also add, Louise Smith continues to wait till she hears Gary's vote on anything and once she hears his decision she then makes her own personal vote.

It is nice she is getting a raise. The city employees are not even getting a COLA raise. With the price of everything going up I guess they dont need it....
What a bunch of goof balls. The only two that seem to know whats going on is Terry Cohen and Debbie Campbell. The others are out in left field. Weazel is pretty sad in her position and Comegy's with his "brokenarm"...well, he's another trip! The MARE, how in the heck does she hold the title of Mayor? The problem with the city is the same as the county. The crooks and liars get away with murder.
Go Debbie and Go Terry. They have their hands full with who and what they have to deal with.

WTF?!!! the dept is currently working at year 1976 staffing levels. that info came right outnof a senior officer's mouth. they work their asses off and need more help!! hmmm...no wonder none of them do a patrol check of the mayor's residence at all during the day or night. in how to handle a governmental meeting and how to
TALK to the general public. She has NO CLASS or NO Style! I cant believe what I am hearing from these people. Once again,Terry and Debbie are a class act!

That is one greedy bitch and she won't stop until she gets every nickel she can from the county or until the city takes over the county.
What is all the work the FD does in the county?? Sending a fire engine on every ambulance call?? Who the F**K authorized that? There is no need for such? Does a fire truck need to respond on every car accident in the city or county? NO!! So take away those bullshit calls and then it leaves you with ambulance calls. Guess what? The county already compensates the city for the Ambulance service as well as the fire service. The city also bills everyone for transport at around $500 or more per call and they get to keep that money because it doesn't go back to the county. Can anyone break down the amount of money the city gets from the county for each service?
BOTTOM LINE FOLKS, THE MAYOR MUST GO !
Can't you see what this really is all about? It's about the mayoral election and Debbie Campbells reelection bid. They give half the information concerning the budget and requests for personnel. Barrie won't fund them but she'll give Lore ANOTHER big fat increase. If Debbie finds a way to fund the police and fire personnel it will only be voted down anyway so why do the work to find the funds? During Debbie's upcoming campaign they'll use it against her. Barrie can't go for a tax increase in election year to fund the police so she'll promise to get them next year. Either way Debbie ends up the bad guy and Barrie begs and SAPOA threatens students to vote for her as mayor. SSDD in Smallsbury, Maryland.
'She Who Must Be Obeyed' (a/k/a Barrie) looked like a crazy lunatic at the podium tonight--eyes twirling around--when she addressed Ms. Debbie's comments. The latter has more class in her little finger than SWMBO ever could hope to have.
So, doesn't it seem odd that Lore' gets a new position last year and now a huge increase? What's the deal? Is Pick on contract?

Perhaps someone more knowledgeable can correct me/clarify, but who is the Mayor to tell Councilpersons how to conduct themselves, what language they can/cannot use, etc. during COUNCIL meetings? Outside of any grace shown by the Council out of respect for the office of Mayor (if not for the person holding that office at any given time), what business does she have speaking, sitting at the head table, etc. beyond that of any ordinary citizen? SHE is a guest at THEIR meetings and should only speak when asked a quesiton or otherwise allowed to comment by the Council - just like any of us.

I appreciate your comments at the end Joe, but why didn't you call Gary on his text messaging during the meeting? We all know he has to have input in order to know what to say, and then he can't get it right, but geez, there is a limit isn't there? And it is absolutely, positively, pitiful & stupid that more money is allocated for the mare's office than for roads - I couldn't agree with Mr. Taylor more than when he said he believed more people will be thinking about a combined government and completely do away with a Mayor altogether - year after year after year, she more and more shows her irresponsibility. And I completely agree with you about Louise calling down a voting citizen in the audience for laughing a bit. It is very, very hard to go there and sit for a few hours and not have something to say, snicker, or laugh. At times it gets so absolutely ridiculous that you just can't help yourself. Thank goodness for Pac 14, at least one can make a comment or laugh without getting threatened to be removed from the room.

Lore needs new shoes the hell with the streets.

Do you all know what kind of car Lore drives? I saw her parked in Johnny Boy's parking space the other day. Poor Johnny! How can she afford to look like a millionaire on a city salary?
Lore is one racist individual that talks down to white people. She is hated by most employees and department heads. The only person Lore doesn't talk down to is the MARE and she knows how to kiss that woman's ass. What a shame to suck up to someone for a job. She reminds me of a servant during the era of slavery. They were smart people and knew how to get what they wanted from the masters. Barrie has that slave owner, dictator mentality and Lore knows just how to play her.
The raise is for her boy Bubba who's dreams of being mayor, is our nightmare. Double dipping isn't enough and as mare he would have to give up his day job and go bankrupt again without a big raise.
