You've Gotta Love What The Daily Times Is On!

First of all, October 26th is NOT on a Friday, it's a Sunday. I did some investigative reporting on that fact, LOL.

Secondly, isn't this an Irish St. Patrick's Day Contest? Therefore, what the heck are they doing allowing it to extend into October for? And they complain about my not proof reading my material enough!

Have they already tapped the Green Beer Keg, or what?

Joe:

This is tyoical of the service the Daily Times offers.

As a small business owner I used to spend $50,000 to $70,000 a year with them for advertising.

Greg Bassett told me that the Daily Times was "incapable" of delivering the level of service required for an auction company and they could not service my account properly.

This was after I complained about them making minor mistakes, SUCH AS THE WRONG DATE & TIME FOR AN AUCTION!

I am baffled that they are in business when they turn down mid-five figure advertising accounts because of their inability to proofread ads...

Tear sheets? Heck it took me six-months to get six-months worht of tear sheets because the person who did that had a crack problem.

It's Salisbury... how these people keep their jobs is really beyond me.

Although we've considered it, what's the point? You can come here for free and I don't have to waste paper. Besides, for now, my dogs enjoy the Daily Times. LOL

My guess is that the October 26th refers to last October (2007). That was on a Friday, and I think the caption originally went with the Halloween coloring contest picture. The Times has printed a new contest picture for Easter but neglected to change the date due from the Halloween contest.

Dear Anonymous 12:19, I mean, Dear Greg Bassett,

I would guess, (like you) that this comment comes from someone in the know. Why, because who else would actually care? It was a screw up, it happens, no big deal. It's just fun, (every so often) to rattle your cage. No harm done, right?

Anyhow, I would personally appreciate when you come to my Site you give your name. I am required to do so on your Site, please show the same professional courtesy the next time.

Thanking You In Advance,

Joe Albero

Like Greg Bassett said.

The Daily Times is INCAPABLE of delivering the level of service required by a professional service business.

One more example...

Your right Greg EVERYBODY SCREWS UP... especially the crackheads in the proofreading dept...

OH my Joe, I don't subscribe to the Daily Rag NOR do I use it for my dogs. We get our paper at Sussex Guide. Nice, clean and no faded newsprint to come off! Try it. you will like it...and so will the Yorkies.

Re: Anon 12:19. Ummm . . . since when does Easter celebrate a leprechaun jumping out of a pot of gold? They can't even get the corrections right!

Even if the coloring contest was for last October, the "DD" should repeat it.
By having all the entries in new fresh colors they could be hung up on the walls of the new press room.
That way the guys/gals who run the press would have some idea of what color red, yellow, maroon etc.,really is.
The "Daily Dissapointment" is now just a smaller version of really bad news. Yuk!Yuk!

MAYBE THE DAILY FISH WRAPPER SHOULD HAVE INVESTED IN A NEW EDITOR ALONG WITH THE NEW PRESS.

And by the way, how LAME is the new size of the paper? If I HAD a subscription I would have canceled it! And the weird fonts are impossible to read. Who would do that on purpose?

They are desparate and grasping for straws

They are so desparate they gave every office at SU a free paper on Monday. You can't even hide behind that paper it's so slim. Keeping true to their name, Daily DISAPPOINTMENT?
