I sat, as did millions of other Americans, and watched as our government underwent a peaceful transition of power seven years ago.
At first, I felt a swell of pride and patriotism as I watched George W. Bush take his oath of office.
However, all that pride quickly vanished as I later watched William Jefferson Clinton board Air Force One for the last time. I saw 21 Marines, in full dress uniform with rifles, fire a 21-gun salute to the outgoing President. It was then that I realized how far America's military had deteriorated under Clinton.
Every one of them missed.

I surely can tell you Joe that the Marines would not miss. All 21 would be dead on hits, if they were supposed to shoot him. But it is a funny joke. Semper Fidelis!

ur Country has taxed it's Citizens into poverty and erected a massive killing machine. It is pathetic. Just today they admit casually in the Main Stream Media that they are spending our tax money to build an Air Force Refueling Tanker in France. First they extort our money, and then spend it in Foreign Countries supporting their working class people with our taxes. They take "pre-emptive agressive actions" in OUR name and create more and more hatred for our People. This government is embarassing - admit the truth to yourself. It is pathetic how Americans have been so conditioned to love War that we think even more money should be spent killing other country's civillians. American military deterioration is the best thing that could happen to the people of the WORLD. How about God bless everyone else for a change?

Anonymous 8:35 PM: I appreciate your passion on the subject of 911 and American survival. I am aware that the Government gives us NO PRIVILEDGES. We are the People. Our government works for us. It represents us. The volunteer military soldiers also swear to defend THE CONSTITUTION. However, my point is that our government is the force which is driving us into slavery and poverty. They are also killing civillians in other Countries "in our name". That is not right. Our government is a wicked enterprise, and we the people need to try to get control of it. Unfortunately, I am not sure that is possible. The poor souls who volunteer to defend the Constitution . . . are however, being abused and manipulated. It is un-American to kill civillians. We must resist the temptation to become like those who "did 911". I mean no offense when I say this: We have the right to speak because we have vocal chords. We are THE PEOPLE. My beef is with the "controllers of the military" - but each soldier has the duty to "obey lawful orders". All of us need to recognize Tyranny.
