Now the Mayor is using the Daily Times to combat things that are said right here on Salisbury News.
Yesterday, the Mayor felt it necessary to defend why NO ONE will take the job at the Salisbury Zoo. To me, it sounded as if she's starting to prepare the public that they will soon be losing their AZA Accreditation. Big loss, NOT!
The aging animal inventory, the crappy Zookeeper Staff, the lack of proper management for many, many years. These are just some of the reasons why the Zoo is failing but more importantly the Zoo, (like many other departments within the City) have fallen apart because this Mayor demands to have only Yes Men running things.
The trickle down effect is, FAILURE! Barrie Tilghman gets what she wants but when someone like Jim Rapp comes to her and says, seriously, we need a new roof on this building or the damage will be quite bad in two years and the Mayor flat out says, don't even think about it. Two years later they're coming back with a $36,000,000.00 Master Plan because the place is so screwed up.
Same goes for the SPD. Have YOU seen the multitude of two Officers in one car lately? There's NOT enough Police Cars on the road. Why, because there's NOT enough Police Cars!
There isn't a department out there that Mrs. House Wife hasn't destroyed. How they got their hands on this new Public Works Director is beyond me. My guess is there will be a lot of finger pointing along the way.
Getting back to the article. Paranoia is setting in on Barrie Tilghman where she feels the desperate need to combat anything I say on this Blog. Open your eyes Barrie. The Zoo is the biggest freakin joke in the City right now. Let me explain Folks. IF the Daily Times was doing an investigative article, why didn't they ask when the Red Wolf Exhibit would be complete? Why didn't they ask and tell just why the delays have happened in the first place? I mean, right now, isn't that the bigger topic? They have an interim Director who has filled these shoes numerous times in the past. Why also have they not given Gary Muir any real credit and why didn't the Mayor also speak out about her confidence in this man? Because it's all about propaganda Folks.
The Hazel Family donated more than $250,000.00 for this exhibit to be built and complete and the entire project has been a complete disaster! That's NEWS!
By the way, the front page article was in yesterday's paper.

Joe, Darling, It's called the Tilghman Times for a reason. LOL
WHere are all the green shirt zoo worshipers now? THey didn't mind circlling the wagons against Debbie and Terry and putting the worst possible spin on their efforts to save taxdollars, now where are they?
They all quit.
You know what's interesting Tim?
Everyone mentioned as a pain in the ass in Jennifer's lawsuit against the City is now GONE! They didn't mention the Zookeepers that are also out of there now. Just the upper management.
Yeah, Barrie Tilghman got her hands on those depositions, read them and got rid of these a$$holes that were treating Jennifer like crap. She just waited long enough so the Albero's couldn't get credit for exposing them and forcing them out. Excluding Steve Sarrow, of course. He wasn't there at the time.
Unfortunately, the Zoo is not the City's biggest problem due to others that are as large or larger.
They have a common thread -- Barrie, Bubba and now Louise Smith.
don't forgetShanie--her deliberate refusal to understand the impact of any of her votes is just as criminal as the others.
So why did the mayor say no one would take the job?
Why not?
As for the council three and the mayor...
How do you spell "relief"?

Yes, that article in the paper was a piece of work, all right. All the resignations and even the PW Directors, all smell of the same stuff. The part of this that makes me boil is that my daughter Jennifer took it all on the chin because the dear old lady Mayor would not act positively when she should have. Rapp and the rest should have been canned back there in the beginning. Doing it now, does smell pretty badly to me, or should I say the city administration smells pretty badly now.
