DeSantis made the comments on “Fox & Friends” in response to a question from host Ainsley Earhardt, who asked if he thinks that “some of these governors that are just doing a one-size-fits-all for the entire state” are “being too strict and going too far.”
“I don't think any governor has the authority to restrict anyone unless there’s a direct relationship to combating this virus,” DeSantis said in response, cautioning governors against acting like a "dictator."
“If you look around the country, clearly there have been examples of really draconian, arbitrary restrictions that have nothing to do with public health, like you can't plant a seed in your front yard in your garden, you can't walk around the neighborhood with your daughter or something like that.”
“So some of this stuff I think has devolved into social control,” DeSantis continued. “I think absolutely it's gotten out of hand.”
He went on to note that in Florida “we did not do that.”

Careful what one wishes for .... Plus he has enough responsibility with his state than being critical for the other Governors out there.
But But But Florida was SUPPOSED to be burying bodies en masse and the patients with Covid treated on the hospital rooftops especially since 1000's flocked to FL from NY and other northern hotspots and Governor DeSantis didn't do a thing about this evasions! That what the brainwashed fruitloops were saying. What happened? I will tell you. Governor DeSantis used real science and not pseudoscience. He listened and took the advice of real experts and not experts in mind control. He showed real compassion and not fake compassion and phony caring and took action where it was needed and that was the state's nursing homes.
People desire to be subservient. It is our very nature.

Really - best think that's happened to Florida. Busch was such a weakling. DeSantis will clean up his mess.
All while becoming a father again. New baby arrived during the pandamic scare. Congratulations Governor DeSantis.
