If ALL transactions/checks put out by her department is not legal, why have each and every one of you cashed your paychecks for the past 2 years with her signature and the County Executives on each and every check???

I think this is sexist, because she is an educated woman - far smarter than they are! She should sue them for discrimination!
The County Council needs to stop the "good ole boy" routine. It is that kind of behavior that keeps the Eastern Shore appearing to be backward - with Salisbury/Wicomico being the stars of the show.

Here’s an Interesting Thought. If Bob Culver is correct and his appointment of Michele Ennis, without the County Council’s confirmation, means that Michele is indeed the authorized Director of Finance, than no big deal and 4 current County Council representatives look like a bunch of idiots. But if Bob Culver is wrong and the County Council’s confirmation is indeed required, then both Bob Culver and Michele Ennis are engage in a known act of fraud. In the end either the County Council will look like a bunch of idiots or, Bob Culver and/or Michele a Ennis are going to jail. Which has the most to lose??? The issue will only be determined by a Judge and not by someone’s hired attorney.

I have heard the rumors. Their actions are certainly discrimination and the videos are retaliation. The council’s actions have nothing to do with the job or her ability to do the job.

I guess you do not understand terminal degrees you can get a Dr in just about anything its not always medical. Education, public adminstration...etc...smh

Joe, you’re exactly right. And, Michele’s sign off” goes far beyond each County Council representative’s pay. Her signature is also tagged to every County employee’s pay, every check written to pay for goods and services received by Wicomico County. What’s that total? About $300,000,000 over the two past fiscal budgets? Ever bond, grant and loan received by Wicomico County.
I commend you on bringing this issue to the attention of the public. Like you’ve said many times before, the local media won’t touch this topic at all. Honestly, they don’t have the college graduate reporters with the brain capacity to comprehend the complexities of this into accurately reporting. This is a big deal for Wicomico County and you’ve (whether you intended to or not) have finally brought this to the public’s attention.
Either Michele Ennis (and Paul Wilber) is an appointed and confirmed Department Head, authorized to execute the duties of Director of Finance or, she is not. Only a Judge can made that determination. Not someone’s hired lawyer who has written a one page opinion.
If your blog truly has the volume of readers that you claim, then I’ll bet each Wicomico County Council representative is reading these posts at this very moment. They know the potential fallout of this issue if Michele is NOT the legal appointed and confirmed Department Head to the Department of Finance representing the financial interests of Wicomico County.
At the next meeting of the Wicomico County Council, I pick Bill McCain to halt all Council proceedings and demand a resolution to this debate. If Bill McCain does NOT make this demand, then he and the County Council and County Executive are simply contributors to a great fiasco ahead.
But be careful. If the determination by a Judge is that Bob Culver’s appointment is all that is necessary, then Michele is the legal Department Head of the Department of Finance. But if the Judge determines that Bob Culver’s appointment must be confirmed by the County Council, then Bob Culver, Michele Ennis, likely each representative of the County Council, maybe even some employees of Wicomico County have been engaged in the known act of a deliberate fraud. And people go to jail for conducting, contributing in a known act of deliberate fraud. Neither ignorance or stupidity are a defense against fraud.
Again, thank you for being this issue to the attention of the public.
I still want to know about the existing coverup at SU regarding the person(s) who wrote on the walls.
County Council - cut the damn games. You approve who is hired for the legislative area and the County Executive hires who he needs for the Executive side. You all are acting like a bunch of little kids. Keep it up and the citizens will have to step in again!
Medical school is not required to obtain a Doctorate, just lots and lots of education in a particular field.
