Pete Buttigieg told supporters he's ending his presidential campaign on Sunday, a campaign source confirmed to Fox News, in an abrupt and surprising pullout that further narrows the field of Democrats less than a month after he declared victory in the contested Iowa caucuses.
Buttigieg had been scheduled to headline a rally in Dallas, Texas on Sunday night. The charter plane has been rerouted to South Bend, Ind., where Buttigieg will announce that he is dropping out, Fox News has learned.
A campaign aide told Fox News that Buttigieg wants to unite the party. Hours earlier, speaking to NBC News' "Meet the Press," Buttigieg vowed that "we'll be assessing at every turn not only what the right answer is for the campaign, but making sure that every step we take is in the best interest of the party and that goal of making sure we defeat Donald Trump -- because our country can't take four more years of this."

That's precisely why they want him to be the nominee. They're hoping that being a presidential candidate it will protect him and all involved. It will basically give them time to clean house prior to Trump winning. After the election there will probably be less or no evidence.

Personally, I suspect we have not seen the last of Pete. I don't abide by his "orientation" but who am I to judge or condemn? As a conservative I hold with capitalism and defending our democracy while challenging radical progressive ideologies that just don't make good sense. I agree with many posts that decry the corruption in the DNC and how this whole primary season is fraught with deception and manipulation. I am looking forward to November and hoping the GOP retakes the house, maintains control of the senate, and 4 more years in the White House. Amen!

I believe the Democrats are in a real free fall now. They spent so much time on attempting to impeach POTUS, they underestimated Bernie Sanders and are now paying for it. Then, Obama throws his support behind Bloomberg who tanks live twice in front of viewers. Poor old joe looks like a deer in the headlights, Warren is raging about something - anything - to try to be relevant, Amy IS irrelevant and everyone else falls away. I really do think the left would want to put forward joe Biden to do its best to shield the rest of the swamp from POTUS dismantling it, but now they have.... Bernie.... anyone suppose how things will look when the Socialist squares of with the ultimate capitalist?
