Senate President Emeritus Thomas V. Mike Miller Jr. (D-Calvert) has introduced legislation to repeal the shore counties’ special status.
In an interview, Miller said local leaders should not have the power to block transportation projects — in this case, toll-funded roads and bridges — deemed a priority by the state.
“We need a state government and a governor and a state planning department looking at the transportation needs for the entire state,” he said. “We cannot enable one county or a combination of counties to have veto power over our transportation.”

Fixing 270 doesn't do anything for the Eastern Shore - while fixing the bridge does!
Ok, if that's the case then the eastern shore should become it's own state, not pay anymore taxes Into maryland, and put a toll booth on this side of the bridge and tax the hell out of the western shore
Defeat this BILL. It is the only check and balance the Eastern Shore has over the Annapolis crooks. Mike Miller lives in Florida and states he lives in MD, because he owns property in MD, so he can serve and collect MD tax dollars. Miller is a Tax and spend Democrat he has done nothing for all of MD Citizens. Miller looks out for the Baltimore DC corridor, PG, Montgomery AA counties along with the other rich counties and nothing for the Eastern Shore but screw us over. Miller does not send the Eastern Shore as little tax dollars as he can. Miller is / has been a Democrat theft since he has served in the MD Legislature.
Folks understand that the Eastern shore is only a road (50 and 404) for the Metro beach bond Urban dwellers to get to the beach
it is easy once you understand that they don't give a care about those that live here.
Just like every other issue they will force their will upon us.
Another bridge won't fix the traffic flow on 50 in the summer already to many cars / traffic
The answer is a rail system to get them to the beach
Route 213 from Centerville can't handle any more traffic nor can the Saint Michaels Road handle the numbers another bridge will bring
The Shore Veto is the only tool we have it was put in place for a reason
Make your self heard on this or the invading heard will get larger
We MUST Defeat this bill...Having this idiot and all the idots from the Western Shore tell us what we WILL accept here is very BAD...

I say greed honors no borders, class, social standing, financial health, race, creed, age, gender, etc.
And once anyone gets a taste of power, they do everything they can to retain it and increase it.
OC is their cash cow, of course they want as many ppl as possible to get there, spend their money and return. That about sums up their interest in the eastern shore and its' inhabitants.
