I have a son who lives with his mother on the shore and works part time at the Dough Roller. He has told me time and time again about how disgusting they are and how the Russian students purposely drop food on the floor in efforts to serve Americans dirty pizza.
At first this seemed a little far fetched, I mean perhaps one incident from a bad apple? I dug a little and found the most disturbing video that I have ever found. Footage of Russian students throwing ENTIRE BLOCKS OF CHEESE into the garbage and floor prior to shredding it and serving it to hard working AMERICANS ON VACATION!!!!
I am a Republican through and through and this is NOT what our country was founded off of. Immigrants come here for a second chance, but it looks like these students just come here to exploit tax free income while absolutely disrespecting our good citizens and culture. I beg for you to let the community know what is going on behind the scenes there. Shame on the owners of this establishment!

FYI their not Russian's. Russian's have been barred from work visa for the last few years. Their from many Eastern European countries.

First, these people are VISA workers of which there are hundreds of thousands per year that our State Department lets in because of the lobbyists for the body shops making money sending them here. Only in the fall do OC businesses wan't (lazy) Americans because the visiting students head for vacation. How do I know this? I work in OC and see it all Summer long for years.
Now, putting things into perspective, my son on a recent visit to St Petersburg was robbed. He's still trying to get back home. Do I fee sorry for these VISA workers? Hell no! Their scum is as bad as ours.

Since Mr. Gibbs sons started running the restaurants things have really gone downhill! Mr. Bill would have heads rolling including the management!! Could this be criminal if someone got sick? I don't know but this is really not good. All of these employees should be banned from working in Ocean City and anywhere else in the US! Send them back! To the Gibbs boys, Pay locals a living wage and you would find really good help. What do you plan to do with your tax windfall?

Most of the restaurants in oc have nasty disgusting kitchens. After working in the service industry for several years and seeing the kitchens there ain’t no way I’d eat at any of them. I don’t know how they pass health inspection.
My kids love to eat at dough roller on 70th street all of the time. I just showed the video and they were disgusted and never want to go there again.
Major cities have a rating that is posted outside a restaurant indicating their level of cleanliness. A and Bs are safe, but you never eat at a C or lower. I would hope that someone sees this video and considers a better way to protect us. After all, since our tax money isn’t going to plowing my street for 3 days, it should go somewhere. Just saying.
By far, the most overpriced pizza joint in OC. Thank goodness for Grottoes and Billy’s!

News Flash...if you have eaten in any restaurant chances are you have eaten food from off the floor or the workers didn’t wash their hands and most likely it was an American worker.

I use to work for Mr Bill Gibbs many years ago and he would not tolerate anything like this at all. It is a shame that a man took years to build a business up and a video such as this can hurt it , even though it was a decade ago. This is a message I received today from this establishment. We have had this video sent to us before because it’s very outdated those employees are from over 8/10 years ago and kitchens have been renovated. I’m being told by corporate action was taken then when we found out about the appalling nature these students took upon themselves. We obviously have much higher standards for our food and have never had any health violations and practice strict food safety compliance thank you for taking the time to contact us so we can address this again since it has recirculated almost a decade later. Thank you for contacting us and understanding this circumstance is appalling and is no way a reflection of how we do business.
The Health Department of Worcester County looks the other way and can't keep up with visit to all restaurants in Ocean City and Worcester County, the State of Maryland Health Department doesn't have to the help as well.
Been in a few Restaurants on the Boardwalk and I seen employees go out and smoke and take trash out and just come back in and start working with Food without washing their hands!!
The old Wendy's on Rt. 50 West OC,saw many employees and manager into restroom with apron and gloves on and go right back working with Food and waiting on customers.
The same thing at the Royal Farms on Rt.50 in Berlin, last week stopped an employee working with the chicken and food, went up to front counter to get lotto scratch off tickets with there gloves on, and went right back working with Food, a few minutes later, the same male employee went into restroom with apron and same gloves on from the lotto tickets. Talking about cross contamination!!!
Just to bring this back to earth, do you think American kids aren’t doing this in every restaurant you eat in? If you don’t think so, you aren’t bright. This crap happens in crappy restaurants everywhere, you only know it now cause of cell phones. Don5 make it about foreign kids, just make it about kids.
Having said that, supervised restaurants that encourage and take pride rarely have this stuff. Dough Roller, not very good or clean.

I cleaned restaurants in OC for about 15 years and believe me MOST of the restaurants are very clean. There are always a few exceptions. What I believe I see in this video is VERY POOR MANAGEMENT!! Who was in charge when this was going on? The employees participating in this gross conduct should be fired and sent back to wherever they came from as they don't deserve the privilege to work here.

I worked in a jewelry store on the boardwalk years ago. There is a Candies Kitchen right next door. The biggest cockroaches I’ve ever seen would come into the store from that Candy store. They were crawling everywhere. After that I never bought anything from that store. Just gross!

I heard from americans how some americans were serving soup with the pee in it. Not in DR, so don't worry. Don't mess with the people who serve your food, because if you are an a-hole to people they can really pay you back in the most disgusting ways, you will not even know! I am not saying I support this kind of actions by the employees but some entitled americans on vacations think too much of themselves and treat the rest like trash. Those foreign kids are one of the most hardworking people you will ever know. So again do not mess with people who serve you food.
Worcester County Health Department continues to keep all of their restaurant reports a secret. They should have to be made public. WHo are they protecting?
Very simple solution. It should be mandated that cameras be in every commercial kitchen and owners/management review each week. Some restaurants already have this, more so for theft than sanitary issues.

I worked at multiple Grotto's locations when I was younger, and I can assure you that American kids do this kind of stuff as much or more than anybody else. I saw a kitchen manager, who was around 20 at the time, and American, do things like drop hamburgers on the floor and then put them back on the grill. It all begins and ends with the management. But muh immigrants!

The most messed up thing about this is how people are making this video political! This is NOT about politics. It does not matter what country the People making the food are from, nor does it matter what country the people eating the food are from. What matters is that this is gross, unethical and unclean. Things like this happen in many kitchens, regardless of the nationality of the employees or the patrons.

Due to their education systems in Eastern Europe, most of the people that come here on work visas are not the brightest bunch. They think that crap is funny where they come from. They look stupid, not funny.

Ocean City businesses make the lame excuse about kids going back to school for the reason they hire Eastern Europeans for jobs that should go to American teens like the old days. School now opens after Labor Day so will they use the same lame excuse or could it be they can get away with paying these people much less? The Dough Roller should be mortified by this video but there's been no response by the owner. Why is that? Does he not care this gives us all reasons why we shouldn't go to his pizza place when in OC? Seems like he doesn't value his customers. Glad I stopped going there a long time. Haven't been there since he stopped hiring Shore teens to work the summer season. Wssn't a boycott but it seems to work out that way.
