A Viewer Writes: Delmar Fire Chief Above The Law

It appears as tho Delmar Fire Department's President Joseph Morris JR is following in his friend and past president Andy's footsteps thinking he is above the law. How is it that the president of a fire department can respond with lights too the firehouse for emergency calls on 6 year expired tags?

Chiefs are aloud to respond with lights. And in Delaware they have even more rights and authority. Hell fire police in Delaware have arresting powers that’s why hummer Boy is decked out like a fire truck lol

Those are special tags for special people. They expire only when somebody notices.

I catch someone pulling my tag cover back and they are going to get hurt!

How come Olan White still a fireman there? When just a handful of years ago he was arrested for shoving a shotgun down his girlfriend's throat and got assault charges?? Kind of a contradiction of being a fireman...

That fire dept. is and incestuous, gossipy little social club. It's Delmar's Elks Lodge.

As long as he responds when our families in the Delmar area need him who really cares..If law enforcement doesn't care then I don't either......

1"46, here, I've made these custom shackles and chains just your size and padded the bracelets with velvet just for you, I hope you like them. Now, hurry down to the MVA and renew for two like a good little girl and kiss the firemen when you get back.

This is a little off topic but I wonder how much gunbash money ended up in his pocket? Asking for a friend...

No wonder he is using a tag frame.

First of all, I see you are anonymous, real brave! Secondly you should get your facts straight before posting false information. I have never had a gun anywhere near my throat, and have never been threatened by this man. I just love how people are so ready to spread negativity, and untrue gossip. You people wouldn't have a problem with any of these Firefighters if you had an emergency or house fire and they came to help you.
Sincerely,
Mrs White

The age, address, exc are the same as Olen White in question...look it up, maybe it was before you

The only law I see broken here is that the picture shows a tag that has expired. If that is the actual tag of today being driven on the highway, then a law was broken. Him being a member of the Fire Department has nothing to do with it. Again, we are assuming that the posting of this article is telling the truth and what I know you really cannot trust to many people these days. More details would be required for me to believe this story in the first place. Maybe a video with truck with these tags driving on the road. Then even better a video of that driver. That would probably be enough facts to believe the story.

I hate it when someone attack the fire department because they do so much good for the community. Again, if the story turns out to be true. Go after the individual and not the fire department. There are always bad apples in every line of work. Let’s not bring down all those good and appreciate volunteers fire fighters that do the right thing. There are members in the fire department that are allow to have emergency lighting on their vehicle, etc., so again this in not what the story is about.

The story is that why does this individual that has expired sticker on his tag allowed to drive that vehicle. Now that this is know, I believe the police and DMV should look into the matter. Correct the situation and move on. Keep the fire department and all the good firefighters out of the story.

People are falsely charged everyday. Hope it never happens to you. Btw, this was me. That's not what really happened. Honestly it's none of anyone's business. Maybe you should use your free time to serve the community instead of bad mouthing a firefighter who would risk his life to Dave yours.
