It was 73 years ago today...


Remembering D-Day - June 6, 1944


While many of these men are long gone, the memory will never be forgotten. Thank you for your service.

Hard to believe that there aren't any D day movies on TV today. Good thing I have plenty WWII DVDs.

Just as important as D-Day was what happened 75 years and 2 days ago. The much important but hardly acknowledged Battle of Midway.

I asked my teen what today was, she didn't know. Then told her it is "D-Day", she said, "Oh, is this the day girls ask guys for a Date, like Date-day"?
Graduated with honors from Wi-Hi, go figure.

Delmarva had quite a few local GI's in the 29th that hit Omaha Beach.

Un-Grateful ... esp GERMANY !! Who the USA re-built and
saved from the Russians ...........
France is also so Un-Grateful .......

Thousands of Americans gladly served and too many died for a free Europe. NATO was formed to keep it that way--No more D-Days. If we give up on NATO, Putin becomes the new Hitler, invading weaker countries just like he did in Ukraine.
