A set of incredible images from yesteryear show a number baseball players dating back to the early days of the Major League Baseball (MLB).
One picture from 1890 shows a team portrait of the now defunct Boston Reds uniformed in their original colors of red and white.
Other images display different teams and players such as Babe Herman a right fielder for the Brooklyn Dodgers long before they became the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1958. Another picture shows the celebrated Philadelphia Athletics player, manager, and later part-owner, Connie Mack draped in a classic overcoat and fedora hat.
Baseball great Mack played as a catcher during a ten year playing career but its more famed for his management skills. He is the longest-serving manager in Major League Baseball history, leading the Philadelphia Athletics for the club's first 50 seasons of play, starting in 1901, before retiring at age 87 following the 1950 season.
