Bill allowing adoption agencies to turn away gay couples signed into law
Gov. Kay Ivey signed into law a bill allowing adoption agencies in Alabama to follow faith-based policies, such as not placing children with gay couples.
"The elected legislature of this state overwhelmingly approved House Bill 24. Having served as President of the Senate for more than six years, I appreciate the work of the legislature, and I agree with it on the importance of protecting religious liberty in Alabama," Ivey said.
The House of Representatives last week gave final approval to the bill by a vote of 87-0, with six abstentions, concurring with a change the Senate made when it approved the bill.

about time, no need to let these perverts warp some impressionable young child!
no more bruce springsteen concerts for you alabama!
Great job there pervs anyway.
way to go Alabama
Begs the question,is it better to be raised in a home with a bunch of degenerates or a house with a bunch of hate mongers trying to suck a few dollars off of the government teat?
Yay! Don't let people with educations and money that will provide a great home to unwanted children adopt. No biggie, it's Alabama so there aren't many self respecting gays that would live in that inbred cesspool of a state.
Justice !
No need to trouble already confused children about where they came from. They want to do something allow them to adopt those over the age of 16. So they have there own thoughts. But still doing good.
Good! Can't trust these freaks to raise a child right. Just imagine what goes thru their minds when changing a diaper or bathing a little boy or girl.
I am moving South where there is still some moral ground. I applaud this it is nothing than a sexual perversion. Time to stop kissing the ass of less than one percent of the population.
87-0, Alabama has voted and it is the will of the Alabama people. It is not any business of the rest of the country. Those damn New Yorkers do not have any right to say what Alabama does, or Baltimorons, for that matter. The liberal big cities need to butt out and quit trying to shove their lack of morals on the rest of the country.
