OCEAN PINES VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCES ITS HOUSE RAFFLE

The Ocean Pines Volunteer Fire Department will hold the drawing for its annual raffle, where the winner may choose a new home or $100,000 cash, on Sunday, Sept. 24 at 4 pm. The drawing will take place at 73 Brandywine Drive, the site of the home built for the raffle.

The new, 1,300-square-foot home custom-built by Heron Bay Builders features three bedrooms, two baths and a sprinkler system. The home includes an one-car garage. In lieu of the home, the raffle winner may choose a prize of $100,000 cash.

Raffle tickets will be sold up until the time of the drawing for $100 each. Only 3,500 tickets will be sold. Tickets may be purchased by calling the Ocean Pines Volunteer Fire Department at 410-641-8272 or by visiting the South Station at 911 Ocean Parkway. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted.

Wonder why the bury doesn't do something like this. Oh I forgot. Takes work and the builder wouldn't be making big $$

Is it sprinklered? Full of interconnected smoke/ CO detectors? Otherwise, take the hunters grand and buy in Delaware who doesn't require these ignorant requirements! And, tax free!!!!

They can "afford" to do this because the hoa funds their operating costs including depreciation and payments on that ridiculous north station 100%. And since the hoa board is forbidden to see their actual financial statements, it's likely they have quite a nestegg of money they'll never need.
