Experts cannot agree on a single, simple definition of attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), but do agree that it causes unfavorable behavior in educational, professional and correctional institutions. Even the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), the bible of psychiatric diagnosis, defines it using a multiple choice test for an array of behavioral symptoms, demonstrating its clinical ambiguity.
Is a mental illness, or a learning disability? Is it environmental, or hereditary? Is ADHD curable, or not?
“It is best thought of as a description. If you look at how you end up with that label, it is remarkable because any one of us at any given time would fit at least a couple of those criteria.” ~Dr. Bruce D. Perry, M.D., Ph.D
Some bold physicians have even gone so far as to say that ADHD is a fictitious, fraudulent disease altogether.

I have ADHD. The article earlier on ADHD characteristics today felt like a customized description of me.
The medication is BS. Ritalin is bad but the Aderol is worse. It made me very depressed. I stopped taking it in my teens even though I had to hide it from my mother. There are things that make my life more difficult and certainly things that make me difficult to deal with. There are just as many positives as well. I wouldn't ever want to change who I am.
STOP DRUGGING YOUR KIDS!!!
Why do you think these kids are able to sell these drugs to their peers? They are mind altering substances. The same ones you and the schools constantly warn them about.
Do you ever find it interesting how much ADHD or ADD is mentioned in our time? When I was a kid this did't exist and kids grew into adults functioning without speed to so called fix this! The medical community and our country is quick to call energy a medical problem.
Yup your correct ADHD is NOT a disease Its genetic and its drug companies looking for $.
