You know I agree - but what a shame, here is a kid that came from the streets obviously. He worked his way into college, then on to the NFL, not just NFL but one of the best teams. Because he could not shake his past, he remained a thug, and gang member, and drug dealer.

Are we really vetting players in college, do we look at their past? Are we just taking thugs over kids that honestly want to play ball - because thugs, well they are just thugs.

So in my eyes, this is a drug dealer, gang member gone off the street we save money on. The big question is - WHEN are HS, Colleges, NFL going to look into the thugs they all have on their teams. Stop recruiting them just on talent, and start recruiting them on talent and heart.

9:21 AM: With colleges and NFL it is all about the dollar. They don't care anything about the player's character or morals, only about talent. It will not change.

He was one bad dude with no regard for life.

I'm sure he could not face life in prison after the privileges he had and blew away. This happens to too many the thug mentality never left him he dealt out his justice and now he got justice. Wish this would make a mark on other athletes out there as I have heard for years, no little bird ever flew so high he didn't have to come down sometime.
