The measure, sponsored by 13 Democrats and one Republican, would allow individuals at least 21 years old to use cannabis in their home. Using marijuana in public would still be illegal, and individuals would be restricted from growing the drug or possessing more than one ounce.

I see taxes for selling, but nothing about by whom or where it's going to be grown before sale.
Let me get this correct DE gives me a hard time trying to get a LEGAL PISTOL PERMIT but now want LEGAL DOPE ???????????
2:37 PM: Do you mean conceal carry permit??? That is the only think I see that is hard to get in DE... Having to get everyone on your street to had write a letter to the DSP saying you are a good guy is very hard to do or get done... ON top of advertising that you want to get a carry permit... I am from MD so, I don't know all of the laws doe DE with regards to handguns, but I know you can cash and carry shotguns and riffles out of stores in DE...
I guess now Delaware will have the fattest people on the planet.

That would not matter either way. It would be up to the parents or caretakers of children to ensure their children's safety. And from what I have been seeing in news stories about some parents, they kill and otherwise treat children terribly without pot being involved.
I took a local course and got an Arizona CCW permit (30 state incl. DE) in the mail.
Something extra in the legislators' checks from the snack chips lobby?
If you want to really "legalize" it, let us grow it like our tomatoes and green beans and stay the he** out of our lives. ( hate spelling out heck in a public forum...)
You have to ask WHY? There are lots of motivations related to enriching out elected officials but have they made a case why? I saw some phoney baloney about using weed to cure Heroin user habits. That is SO stupid. The addicts are hooked on Heroin, not weed. After all, if this argument worked, give the addicts whiskey.

you really need to educate yourself about the topic before you make such an uninformed statement. Please.
That was Maryland's idea to teat heroin addicts with marijuana, not Delaware. I think that Delaware should legalize marijuana.
That Arizona CCW permit is not honored in:
California, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Washington.
9:29, that's why it's called a 30 state license, like I stated, and it DOES include Delaware, Dummy! The person complaining was going for a Delaware license.
