Location: 307 N. Salisbury Blvd Salisbury, MD 21801
Suspect: Haddock, Donald Wayne Jr. 38 year old white male, Willards, MD
Narrative: In early 2017 the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office Community Action Team (CAT) began an investigation into the distribution of controlled dangerous substances (CDS) from the Delmarva Thrift Store. This business is located at 307 N. Salisbury Blvd Salisbury, Maryland. During the course of the investigation, Deputies obtained information that the business owner, Donald Wayne Haddock Jr, was distributing controlled substances from the building. As a result of the investigation, Deputies obtained a search and seizure warrant for the premises. On March 8, 2017, Deputies assigned to CAT, assisted by members of the Criminal Investigative Division (CID), executed the search and seizure warrant at the Delmarva Thrift store. Donald Haddock Jr was located on the premises. After searching the business, Deputies located several hundred pills, which were determined to be controlled substances. The pills were packaged in a manner which would indicate the intention to distribute. Several other pieces of drug paraphernalia were also located on the premises. While Deputies were on scene, they were also able to identify several items of suspected stolen property, in the business. As a result, Deputies obtained an additional two (2) search warrants. As a result of executing these warrants, Deputies seized a large amount of suspected stolen property from the business. Great job SPD. (sarc) Sounds like a pawn shop except they never get in trouble for having stolen property. Have you ever noticed that they sell that brand new bolt cutters though?

Anymore I read these reports and realize that "several hundred pills, which were determined to be controlled substances" could easily mean 2 bottles of prescription grade ibuprofen.
Thanks to civil forfeiture you can find "a large amount of suspected stolen property" at most police barracks.
Government gets away with trampling your rights by demonizing a group and then breaking the Constitution to get the "bad guy" and everyone cheers. This guy's probably dead to rights and they followed the book but look at what has been accomplished.
Nobody bought drugs from this guy who wasn't already going to buy them, and no one that bought from him is going to stop drugs just because he's locked up. Everybody cheer! The taxpayer has another mouth to feed.
It's not just in the judicial system. Look at how they get away with outrageous taxes on tobacco, alcohol and gasoline. All excused because it only punishes the "bad guy". Start comparing the impact of these "bad guys" on your life to the impact of what this Government does and you will realize THEY should be the ones going to prison.

Because they didn't. Hence the reason the Sheriff's office did the investigation.

Looks like Limelight Lewis is feeling the heat and taxing some low level dealer/users. Where are the big fish? They must contribute too much to the Sheriff Assoc. or all belong to the same country club.

The only sure way to solve the drug problem is A. Eliminate the addict and/or the dealer/supplier of the drugs. This is the current philosophy often called the "War on Drugs" it's failed to do much of anything except increase prices, increase the number of addicts and get even the smallest law enforcement agencies some really awesome military surplus. Until they need repairs or can't maintain flight readiness status because "Dang Junior dem dar helicopters ain't cheap to keep"!! So how do we solve this problem? Felony level arrests first offense for the dealer 10 years & convicted felon must serve everyday and given legitimate life skills, learning a viable trade and must obtain applicable certifications for all skills no free passes. 2nd offense life in prison no parole and must earn the right to be fed, sheltered, medical treatment etc. by participating in a labor position known as a "Chain Gang", earning of trust they may be given positions such as labor for construction of prisons. "Good Time" earns TV they pay for & only gets three Channels Fox News, The Weather Channel & Public TV or equivelent. 3rd Offense any felony crime in prison or any assault on staff results in a trial within 30 days if found guilty 48 hrs to get affairs in order and then death by firing squad.
