Former Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr. Announces He’s Deep in Debt

Former Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr. (D., Ill.) and his estranged wife are nearly $2 million in debt.

Jackson, the son of activist Jesse Jackson, told reporters on Tuesday that he and Sandi Jackson, a former member of the Chicago City Council, owe approximately $1.8 million for legal bills and fees, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Jackson was a congressman from Chicago for 17 years, but took a leave of absence in 2012 to be treated for his bipolar disorder. It was then found that he spent $750,000 in campaign funds on personal expenses, while Sandi had omitted $580,000 on their taxes. Jackson was sentenced to 30 months in prison, and Sandi was sentenced to 12 months in prison.

Neither Jackson nor Sandi has worked since getting out of prison, but Jackson has been collecting $138,400 annually from the federal government in workers compensation benefits and temporary disability, the Washington Free Beacon reported.

Hold on, let me grab a Kleenex before I read this.
Seriously, for some people, I have absolutely ZERO compassion.
Call the NAACP for help. Oh, that's right, they don't help anyone, do they.

If you're looking for sympathy here, you'll be sorely disappointed.

Are you serious?? For what? Being a crook?

Why is he collecting workmans comp and temp disability? That needs to be investigated. If aloud then that sets precedence for a lot of law suits.

Hey 1:03 Allowed is how it is spelled. Aloud is not a word but loud means a big noise.

Hey 1:32
Aloud is a word. Some people read silently some people read aloud.

Well boo hoo. Are we supposed to feel sorry for either of them?

Wish these scholars would keep their lessons to themselves.
Why wouldn't Jackson be broke. Doubt he has ever held a real job.

Jesse, maybe after you serve your prison sentence you can get a job at a carwash or something.

If you too would stop their and figure out that aloud is a word as described above, you would understand why they're are to ways to say it. Being two loud is a proper use, but to many people have there heads up they're butts and say stuff out loud that should have been said aloud. Their needs to be more English classes taught so people don't make these mistakes, to!

Is your head spinning yet?
