Apparent pot factory goes up in smoke in Bronx; fire fills streets with smell of marijuana

A forest fire in the Bronx? Believe it.

Firefighters found a sizable marijuana operation while tackling a basement blaze in a home on Chatterton Ave. near Olmstead Ave. just before midnight, according to police.

The smell of smoldering cannabis wafted down the Castle Hill street for hours after the flames were put out.

There was no visible damage to the building.

I hope that none of those firefighters are "randomly" selected for the next 30 days! That would suck!!
