Goes in the category of "It's not my job!" Like the dead raccoon on Snow Hill road that they waited for turkey buzzards to clean up. Or the huge pothole at the corner of Nutters Cross Rd that can swallow small cars if they cut the corner too sharp.
Not to mention the fact that Quantico Road is being repaved, pretty much needlessly, while Pemberton Drive remains pothole heaven along with many others. Do the State/County Roads people even LOOK at the roads before deciding which ones to repave???

City engineers play on trains not drains! You can always tell when a county road gets paved that someone important lives on that road! I'm so glad our moneys are spent so well....NOT

6:12 AM to answer your question, NO they do not look at the roads and decide which to re=pave first... What ends up happening is this, They will fix the roads that the most people make a stink about, then outside of that, with normal re-paving, they just want to pave new roads, because the govt thinks it will bring in more tax money, while the rest of the roads fall apart and become dirt again... Then, you have the roads, being re-paved to just waste money.... Think about it, there is a machine, that cost 1 million dollars, that is being used in California, it only needs 4 workers and easy to maintain if you maintain it... It will saw cut existing pavement, crush it all up, place new crush-n-run rocks along with recycling the old pavement into the crush-n-run, and then smooth it out, place black top down and heat it up and even paint it... It can do about 3 to 5 miles in 8 hours time!!!!! But what you have here in SBY is, 10 men standing around watching 3 other guys dig holes, or you will see 5 guys sitting in dump trucks doing nothing... It is all just to waste your money so they can raise taxes saying they need more... That is all any of the govt jobs are for anymore... Now that we are a sanctuary state, you can kiss fed govt funding for schools good bye, so where do you think that money will come from?????
