An Ohio teen who police say threw a lit firecracker hidden inside a glue stick at a teacher in retaliation for issuing him a suspension has been criminally charged.
The 14-year-old Akron boy is facing a charge of inducing panic for the Oct. 12 incident.
Police say the former North High School freshman tossed what was possibly an M-80 carved into a glue stick toward his teacher's desk, but the explosive didn't detonate. No one was injured.

Bring back the whipping post.
Military school.
Okay, first of all, they don't make M-80's any more. And when they did, they were about 3/4 inch in diameter and would never be able to be "carved into a glue stick", which is about half that diameter.
So, this wet behind the ears cop who never lived in a day when M-80's were around, has no idea what to charge the kid with and still wants his Kudo's.
Give the kid a sound spanking and send him to go sit in the corner or out in the hall, and the same punishment for the "cop"!

Thank you
8:18 Really? He threatened a teacher, he attempted to injure the teacher and you believe it's ok for him to be in school with "your" kids!! Who gives a crap about whether it was or was not a freaking M-80, it could have injured someone and doesn't belong in SCHOOL. And for your info, not all glue sticks are the same size.
Whippin INDEED!
