Possibly criminal in nature.ALWAYS turn phones in to the police when found,because the contents could have relevancy to criminal activity.

Lesson from real life... if it had criminal activity involving you or your family, turning it in to police would make them a HERO. Time to stop going back to kindergarten and graduate to adulthood.
