Glen Ave. Road Closure Announced for USSSA Opening Ceremony

Salisbury, MD – The Wicomico Youth & Civic Center is scheduled to host the opening ceremony for week two of the USSSA Eastern World Series on Tuesday, July 19.

To protect the safety of players, coaches and their families, a portion of Glen Ave. in front of the WY&CC will close from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19. The closed portion runs from Civic Avenue to St. Albans Drive

police were called to the complex last weekend for the 10 year old tournament, so watch out when the bigger kids arrive with their crazy parents the next 2 weeks

Lots of money being spent here to help the local economy.The parks and rec guys and gals bust there tail to get the job done. Hope they keeping coming back every year.

It is so nice that the local folks have been turned into waitstaff, chamber maids and butlers to wealthy people from other states that can afford to travel around the country while their children play games. Here's to the new economy of Wicomico county, but i guess it is better than nothing for those that have no other options.
