RISING SUN, Md. (AP) — Maryland State Police are investigating the death of a woman who was fatally shot by troopers in apparent planned suicide.
Authorities say 45-year-old Christine Lucas of Rising Sun, who was shot early Sunday after pointing what appeared to be a handgun at officers, left a note explaining her actions.
Investigators say troopers encountered Lucas about 2 a.m. Sunday after responding to a reported intruder.
Troopers Justin Rann and Timothy Graham, both four-year veterans, are on leave while police investigate the incident.

Love how they say four year veterans. They just dried behind the ears! Not to mention that as usual what appeared to be a gun.... Once again.... You cops are trained to confirm visually that a weapon is present. It's one of your bragging points of how dangerous your job is. You cannot not assume! As I read it no weapon was found and these are two more murderous cops. If you can't do your job correctly than quit cops! Assuming is not your job!

A lone female intruder with a gun. Yeah! Nothing odd there. Seems like the police should've been more diligent. Who called them? Son was upstairs. Bet she lived there! You need to read more up on this 3:26. She called them about an armed intruder and came out pointing the gun at them. The gun which she painted to make it look real.
Guarantee until you are blue in the face. Knock yourself out guaranteeing, but the fact stands she was not sobbing. She intentionally engaged the cops so they would shoot her. This she confirmed in a letter she left. You people really need to be more informed over these situation before you start offering up you uninformed opinions. You will become a better person for it and not embarrass yourself if you repeat your nonsense in public. Plus commenting when you are clueless benefits no one.
