How is it that the VFW is always having incidents like this. People refer to the VFW as the club. I thought you had to be a member or a guest of a member, guess not. The VFW needs to be shut down.

Ok let's take this opportunity to look at some facts.i know we have talked about this before and there is some reluctance to post comments that lead people to believe most people are racists but I would like to look at some basic facts and let people comment on the facts alone without the racism component. Simply facts. The VFW on Main st in Salisbury is patronized primarily by African Americans. There are multiple shootings and assaults there every year. There is an American Legion in that same area patronized primarily by the same demographic and the same types of incidents occur at that location.
Not far from there, in the same type of neighborhood is another VFW but the patrons are mostly white. And again in the same type of neighborhood is another American Legion and again the patrons are mostly white. Yet no incidents of shootings or violent attacks at these locations. Is it racist to draw attention to these differences because we may not like the inferences? Is it politically incorrect to mention these facts? Why are we seemingly required to ignore these facts at the risk of being labeled as polarizing or racists?

Had this discussion last week with a viewer (I am white, she was black). Facts are facts. You cant deny them.... Because they actually happened.
These people cannot consume alcohol in large groups without some sort of thug like behavior.
While race presents the most obvious picture, it's not about skin color, per se, but the culture adopted by too many within the black race. There are black people in Salisbury who go to work every day, raise families and are productive members of the community. Sadly, their lifestyles and contributions are overshadowed by the followers of the violent and dysfunctional culture that is responsible for 90% of Salisbury's crime, whether it be black on black or not. Figure it out and cure it and you'll get the Nobel Prize and your picture on paper money.

Single parent homes without adequate supervision? Anti-authority mindset propagated by generation after generation of anti social parents?
I am a Republican fool and i have been in this VFW and they where Racist to me and my friend who ARE veterans just one problem ,we are white, So. Your the one with his head in the sand .
The VFW corporate office needs to shut this place down.

The mostly middle class, mostly black community on the reservation streets up the road would probably agree with you. They fought like hell against a rental project being crammed into their neighborhood and won.
When I look at the violence that happens at mostly white low-end bars, I have to think it's really an economic class issue, not a color issue. I'm not saying all poor people are bad, not at all, I grew up dirt poor with greatest salt-of-the-earth people. But toss in classless, broke and alcohol, and I just don't think the color of that matters.
No picture on currency or Nobel prize for me, however, because I don't know what to make of it, let alone what to do about it.

I heard that idiot at Wicomico Central dispatch an ambulance and a fire truck for this call. When they responded the idiot said "Be advised Trooper 4 is available if needed."
LMAO!! A couple of blocks from the hospital and that clown checked to see if the helicopter was available. What an idiot! I am surprised he didn't dispatch the fire boat.

How long exactly are all of you white people going to profess to be experts on black people? It's very confusing as to how someone who has no idea seems to be walking experts on people you wouldn't spit on if they were on fire. Please stop. The VFW is frequented by a crowd who could care less which is why people are shot/stabbed/assaulted etc. If black people talked the way you all do for the crimes white people commit you all would have more excuses than one could count. Just stop.

Well he did brag about his daddy being incarcerated while speaking at he NAACP. He thought he could relate to the black voters since most of them have been incarcerated.
He failed to mention that his daddy is a pervert and and has to register as a sex offender.
I wonder, how many of them there are actually "Veterans of Foreign Wars".
