President Obama dismissed Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson’s suggestion that he could eliminate ISIS “fairly easily” if he were commander in chief.
“What I think is that he doesn't know much about it,” the president told ABC News’ Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos in an interview at the White House Thursday. “I think it's fair to say that over the last several years I've had access to all the best military minds in the country and all the best foreign policy minds in the country. And I'm not running for office. And so my only interest is in success.”
In Tuesday night’s Republican debate, Carson suggested he could defeat ISIS “fairly easily” by bombing oilfields in Iraq.
“I think in order to make them look like losers, we have to destroy their caliphate. And you look for the easiest place to do that? It would be in Iraq,” Carson said. “Outside of Anbar in Iraq, there’s a big energy field. Take that from them. Take all of that land from them. We could do that, I believe, fairly easily, I’ve learned from talking to several generals, and then you move on from there.”
Asked about Carson’s comment, the president noted he receives advise from top military officials who have expertise in the region, and “if they don’t think it’s easy, then it’s probably not easy.”
“What we've been able to do is to shape a strategy that first and foremost contained-- the momentum that ISIL had gained,” he added, using the government's acronym for ISIS.

What a dumbass. He just stated that isis was contained and look what's happening. Carson is right they'll be fairly easy to defeat with the proper leadership unlike what we have had for the last 7 years.

there is only one person in this Country who has armed Sunni insurgency ..even dropped a couple of tons of the same weapons he wants to take from honest Americans a few weeks ago

Mr. Obama doesn't know much about ANYTHING other than what his "advisors" tell him. No military experience. No economic or business experience. No financial experience. Nothing with any real qualification for POTUS beyond what an assistant manager trainee at the welfare office might bring to the job.
He is one of them. Ok, so he's not ISIS, but he IS one of them.
From everything I've ever read, our POS doesn't listen to the military advisors. Do your research on how many top military advisors he's gotten rid of! But then again, he lies about just about everything.
The smartest of the military brass left the military when Obama took office so what he has to work with now are second rate, if that.
seems like Russia has had an easy time of it getting rid of some Isis members. one way or another obammy needs to go. pretty soon someone is going to get fed up and just start shooting anyone who is darker than sand, has the face covered, has a beard, and says he is going to allahs snack bar.

So what is France doing now? Bombing their strongholds and oil tankers. Doing what our President won't.
The only thing that Obama does know is that he wants to destroy this country before his term is over.
