MILWAUKEE – Jurors ordered a Wisconsin gun store to pay nearly $6 million on Tuesday to two Milwaukee police officers who were shot and seriously wounded by a gun purchased at the store.
The ruling came in a negligence lawsuit filed by the officers against Badger Guns, a shop in suburban Milwaukee that authorities have linked to hundreds of firearms found at crime scenes. The lawsuit alleges the shop ignored several warning signs that the gun used to shoot the officers was being sold to a "straw buyer," or someone who was buying the gun for someone who couldn't legally do so.
Jurors sided with the officers, ruling that the store was negligent in selling the gun.

I tend to agree 9:36PM
Seems juries and grand juries, too, are 'for some reason' more agreeable to LE. If we look back over the past few years, these juries appear to lean toward LE and not toward the letter of the law as applying to LE nor the constitutional rights of the people.
Unbelievable.
wrong judgement. period
I agree, 936. Go after the straw buyer. That's the first criminal in line here, and the shooter is second.
That's because most jurys are not of a person's peers. Wicomico jurys are full of rich people who bully descions in deliberation. I stood my ground against one of these bullies last year while on duty. So much reasonable doubt and these guys had them guilty before we even talked about it. Even ordering other jurors while standing with chests puffed out. A doctor or school teacher is not a peer of a broke person who can't afford decent representation.
I get hit by a teenage driver whose parents bought them the vehicle can I sue the dealership they bought the car from??? Food for thought.
can we sue our government because someone bought the drugs they bring in and commit crime? Food for thought.
